  1. Though it's true, America has 11 Aircraft carriers, they're never out at the same time. Approx half are being serviced, upgraded, repaired & unavailable at any given time. But, there are other, smaller carriers that also in use. They're not officially called aircraft carriers, but that is their function. They are smaller, typically only have one runway, aren't as advanced, don't have as long a range, etc. We have a fair amount of those. Due to range issues, they are secretly deployed around the world too.

  2. One thing they didn't mention is that their newest and (not) best carrier is in dry dock with three huge cracks on its aft deck. Copy from the Russians and see how long it floats.

  3. If the US were to go to war with China it would also involve most of our NATO allies the UK & France who have also have ships themselves. The sad part is we all fought China in the Korean War to a stalemate when it was a much much poor country

  4. Aircraft carriers can be taken down by missiles and planes so it's not the number of aircraft carriers it's the number of planes they can send and the number of missile carrying torpedo carrying other ships and of course not spoke upon submarines

  5. Heres the thing, china can build everything a lot quicker than the US can…. but the quality shows, they break down a lot more often, and in regards to them building their cities in days, a lot of those buildings would be condemned structurally in less than 5yrs anywhere else

  6. Why make an amusement park out of a retired air craft carrier? Probably part of a strategy to get their population used to be more military oriented. Making their military become part of every day life for its civilians as they push so much money towards building their military. Om an American where we cant have a football game without a few hundred million dollars worth of military aircraft fly over it 1st. Many Air Bases are also budgeted to have some open house days. Usually air shows loaded with military and private aircraft. Demonstration teams and many parked military air craft you can walk through, touch, look into the engines etc. Im not trashing my country. Just speaking facts. We have a giant military and our government makes sure our military gets plenty of good press. Many war movies here have consultants from the Dept of Defense to help make it as real and accurate as the producers want it to be. You cant watch a 2hr movie on tv with commercials without seeing something military in a commercial. Thats 1 reason China might want an Air Craft Carrier amusement park. They havent always been so militant as a society. Gotta get them used to what they are spending so much money on and convince them its a good use of their money.

  7. Taiwan was part of China until the end of WWII where an internal revolution basically caused Taiwan to seperate from them. Since then China has contended they have a right to Taiwan. In fact this video is basically China vs USA when the reality os China vs Taiwan will happen 1st. Americas involvement will likely be the result of defending Taiwan. Taiwan produces 60% of all microchips on the planet. China produces about 15% or the worlds micro chips. Taking over Taiwan would give China control of 65% or the worlds micro chips. You can imagine the various ways that would position China as the most powerful country. As part of Americas defence strategy, and perhaps the western alliance nations strategy is to disperse the micro chip production facilities around the globe. This works for Taiwan because their companies run most of those facilities. One is being built in the Phoenix Arizona area at some huge cost. I think 7 billion dollars. It also works for Taiwan in that it can take some focus off of their main land. Taiwanese military also trains heavily with the US. Also in the Phornix area is Luke Air Force Base. A very large training base. Taiwanese pilots in the area is more and more common. They come here for months at a time. Training, Americanizing (lol) at local bars, movie theaters in their off time etc. As it stands, Taiwan is a war in the making for years to come. The war Chinas Navy is preparing for is in the sea between themselves and Taiwan. Note they said China finally did a blue water training session where their aircraft with a 1600 mile range trained 1300 miles from any land based diversion base? Well, its 1300 miles from China to Taiwan.

  8. Chinese ships are ancient and total shit. I would not worry even if they had 3 times as many. Technology negates all of this. They are decades behind. Same with Russian fighter jets. Build as many as you want for power projection……but the US will smash them with intelligence and superiority.

  9. China has 30 blue water capable naval vessels that can go more than 1000 miles from Chinese coast. Both their carriers regularly catch fire. That's not even mentioning that Japan has the second most powerful Navy and could take out China's whole navy as long as they engage far enough out that China can't support with ground based aircraft.

  10. 😊 they don't have a blue-water Navy they have more ships but not as much tonnage the United States is twenty years more advanced I know it sounds cliche but size doesn't always matter it's about quality and the overall technologies that combine to make modern warfare which the US's top notch * 10

  13. The 20th century was tumultuous for China. They experienced foreign invasion, famine and civil war between Communist and Nationalist (democratic) forces. They put the civil war on pause to fight WWII (against Japan) and promptly resumed afterward.

The democratic forces lost and fled to Taiwan. That government (Republic of China) still claims to be the rightful government over all China (the Beijing government is called The People’s Republic of China) but they exercise no control over the mainland. The ideological battle sometimes spills over into families and overseas Chinatowns.

Taiwan is a very transparent, cosmopolitan, democratic society that deserves the support of the free world. Not only is it an ideological battle, but Taiwan also makes 90% of the world’s advanced computer processors used in everything from cars to missiles. So the world also has a huge economic and military stake in its security.

  14. The Chinese count literally anything in the water as a naval vessel. The fact is that the entirety of the Chinese naval fleet only comes to about 2.8 million tons versus the US naval fleet's 4.8 million tons according to the latest statistics.

Air superiority is the key to modern warfare, and the US has 11 carrier groups (soon to be 13) versus the Chinese Navy's 3 (two of which are not combat capable, so actually only one, the latest build.) And the US Navy can launch F35, F22 and F18s off their decks. The Chinese aircraft carriers can boast nothing even comparable.

Nor does "building more" equal "building better" as the Russian military has revealed to the planet in the Ukraine (after decades of being compared on par with the US military.) Even with 10x the men, planes, helicopters and tanks at their disposal, the Russian army is currently the 2nd best fighting force in Ukraine at the moment.

When was the last time we saw the Chinese military in a war, conflict or campaign in the last 75 years? The Chinese naval fleet is a green water fleet and cannot project global power, nor do they have the logistical base or supply line to even attempt this. At best they are a regional power and spend most of their time harassing Filipino fishing boats.

If the US 7th Fleet showed up in force in the South China sea, the Chinese navy would run in the other direction. All this talk of the Chinese "matching" the US in military might is complete BS. That is just the fact of the matter.
