Yes, mine is big. The biggest in fact. You don't want a world without the US. At the same time we also rebuilt Japan.
Yet the US can't take care of their own…🥺
Other things the world have to do without if not for the U.S.A.:
1. Rock and Roll or pop music a we know it today also Michael Jackson, Elvis, hip hop, and probably the Beatles(no rock music, no American music influences hence no Beatles)
2. Movies as we know them today. The Americans made many innovations in cinema.
3. All Marvel and DC. Basically all of the super heros and villains of pop culture.
4. No one would have landed on the moon.
5. Coca cola, Hershey(many other candies and snacks), McDonald's, and many others good tasting things that are bad for you.
6. Many well known tv shows like Friends, Bay Watch, NCIS and Law and Order
7. Oh yeah! …and some place for refugees to flee to for safety and a better life.
8. All of the money that we the U.S. have given many other countries around the world over many years without ever being paid back a single cent. If you help me I'll be your best friend just doesn't cut it. If we cashed in all of our "IOU's" countries would go bankrupt and we wouldn't have a national debt.

There was an historian who speculates in "Hitler Moves East" that one reason why Hitler's initial attack was so successful was because the Red Army were in assembly areas waiting for orders to attack Germany. Waiting for England and Germany to bleed each other white and the USSR comes in to 'save the day'.
One thing not well known was the US did want the Colonial Powers to give up their colonies. Britain worked with their colonies to get them on their feet and ready for independence. France, did not. France held onto their colonies, for example, French Indochina, i.e. Vietnam. So went back to reclaim it, the US stayed out of the issue because they wanted France to join NATO, which initially, they didn't. N. Vietnam looked to the USSR for help and once the French were defeated at Dien Bein Phu the US became concerned with Soviet influence in the region. Hence, the mistake, though reasonable, US involvement in Vietnam.
You wouldn't be making these videos without the technology invented for the US Military nor have internet with it current capabilities. Computers would likely only only 70-80s capabilities. Cell phones, nope.

there is an odd error in this video…the author deposits the idea of Russia and Germany being the major winners of WWII if not for a US but then doesn't conclude what would have happened if Japan had not been opposed by the US in WWII. There is no force on earth that would have removed Japan from controlling all of the Pacific including Southern Hemisphere island States, all of South East Asia, all of East Asia, Alaska, and most of the West Coast of North America.
Prior to Midway Island, Japan had already secured the East Coast of Asia, almost all of China, most of Southeast Asia, all of Indonesia, the Philippine Islands, parts of the Alaskan Islands, and all of the Pacific Islands with exception of Australia and New Zealand. If not for the US, Russia would have had to split its forces more drastically to fend off the Japanese in the East and Germany in the West, as Japan's interest would have been more free to go deeper into Asia. Also, just as the Marshal plan had done wonders for rebuilding Europe, what Nimitz and McAuthor did in the Pacific and Japan was equally impressive.
My grandmother heard what was going on in Europe during WW2 and moved 1500+ miles to work in a bomb factory in California since her fiancee was likely en route to Europe (POW 3 years). As much as I don't agree with American policy today, I'm still thankful for the American spirit to help in crisis.
If you want to know what it's like in North Korea, look up a young woman named "Yeonmi Park" who escaped from there.
It's not the citizens of Russia and Ukraine that want war, it's the sticking governments. As an American, we don't want war either. Though after 9/11, as a nation we were wickedly pissed off! And it was on. We love you all in the UK, and one day hope to visit.

If it wasn't for the US, Germany would have 100% won WW2. They had taken all of Europe and were thrashing Russia before the US starting sending massive aid to both fronts.

The Marshall Plan was absolutely not altruistic. A stable, prosperous Europe was, and is, in our best interest.

I’ve just come from watching a bunch of clips about what the most stupid thing an American has said to you. It was mortifying and a bit depressing, though funny. So I’m really happy this came up in my home page. No, I had no idea about how much aid we gave Russia, or much about the Marshall Plan. We probably covered this briefly in World History, but that has been MANY years ago for me lol. This video makes me feel better 5ough. Very interesting video, great reaction ❤

Yes Americans are quite aware of how much aid we give to the world. After Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan they were wanting to send millions to the Taliban. I’m pretty sure American outrage stopped that maybe. Or they just brushed it under the rug and pulled the wool over our eyes.

The world in general seems to dislike America but where would they be without us. Even today we give more money to foreign countries in aid EVERY year then some countries even make.
It would really suck if the United States was gone since I wouldn't exist.

I knew that but a lot of even Americans don’t even know that so don’t feel bad. We all need to review our history. But I took world history 1 & 2 in college which I really loved.
Without America Japan would never have become pacifist in the first place, likely still be an empire, and control half of china and the pacific. Russia wouldnt have been able to aid china without the supplies mentioned in the video leaving Japan to continue it's campaign in the mainland. Remember japan was the only ones who had a pacific fleet to rival the US and without the US taking it out they would have been free to control the entire pacific, and Australia and New Zealand would have been at risk should Japan have decided to expand south.
The Winter War, the Soviets sent 1.2 million men, but enough food for only half a million. They expected to take heavy losses.
As an American… of the ahem mature variety (ya, I'm old) I remember we learned about the Marshall Plan in our history class. I couldn't remember the details, so it was good to hear again. I don't think they teach history to young people any longer, and if they do, they soften things or change history, which is a huge mistake. If we don't learn history we are bound to repeat it… Anyway, I enjoyed this.

In 2021 the US provided $38 Billion USD through Foreigin Aid programs. $34 B have been dispenced. Year on year the US is the top donor often exceeding 15% of GNI. (Gross National Income). And yet as a retired Solider I cannot count the number of times I had someone in my face yelling "Yankee Go Home". But on the flip side of that coin, I must admit that I have been treated very well in some few instances. But, that "yankee go home" stings. A lot.

I was taught how great th U.S.A. is.
But understand please. We are also educated on bad things we did. Every country does bad things. I'll always believe that America is mostly righteous and yearns for all humankind the right to be free and pursue your happiness!
Our defense budget is one reason we Americans have bad public schools and bad healthcare. Just another way through our tax dollars we continue to aid our allies. Not complaining, just stating the facts.
If there was no US, the Japnese Empire would not have been defeated, so there would have been no need for them to turn their backs on pacifism. Japan only ever became Pacifist because we forced them into an unconditional surrender and rewrote their constitution.
Americans don't take vacation time like Europe does…..our taxes pay for everything! Lucky for them

The US is like that tall, really ripped kid on the playground. People may pick on us for stuff that bugs us on the inside, but if someone picks on our buddies, we're gonna do everything we can to make sure they're okay.
The money spent by the United States wasn't entirely giveaways like lend lease or grants. There was a lot of loans floated to keep allied countries working and not collapsing under the economic weight of the war. The United Kingdom to my knowledge is the only one that ever paid all their loans back. And I believe that occurred in the 60s or 70s I could be wrong on that. The United States railroad system is pretty antiquitated while the railroad system in Europe is pretty modern. Part of that is we rebuilt the railroad system in Europe. The system in the United States is maintained by the companies that own the railroad. Just an example
