  1. Short answer yes. But why? As an American who has been to the UK multiple times, I’m happy we are allies. The UK is great and I’ve such a great time each time I’ve been there. From London to Manchester to Scotland, great people and great friends

  3. One thing to worry bout in USA military is the new high energy weapons from space and the USA has created a Space Force in its military. The Space Force is not watching out for asteroids. These are brand new weapons but have been tested and believed to be in service and expanding.

  10. The UK has the same recruiting problem as Canada and for that matter the entire EU. Collectively we have not grown our militaries since the cold war, governments have been cutting defense spending across the board telling there populations everything would be fine.

    Look today what is happening around the world were in for a world of hurt. As a retired soldier I can tell you my whole carrier we had for the most part nothing but used worn out equipment.

    If you want to attract people into the forces you need to pay them well, keep them well equipped with the latest tech, and trained to a high standard, you do this and people will join.

    Don’t forget your asking your citizens to put their lives on the line to defend your country, they deserve the very best.

    The public in general need to force our governments to spend what is required on defense if we don’t they won’t. There is no political will for them to do so.

  14. One thing Europe does not think about. For almost 80 years we have been protecting both Europe and the U.S.. Europe has been letting its Armies shrink depending on us to do everything. All you have to do is look how little Europe is giving to Ukraine compared to the U.S.

  15. You'd have to count all the armed forced of the whole Commonwealth on the side of the UK since king Charles is their regent as well. That's the armed forces of 56 nations around the world. The Commonwealth of Nations includes Canada, India and Australia. That would be a lot to handle, even for the US.

  16. If the US parks an aircraft carrier next to your country there is a good chance it has a larger air force than you do. There are only 30 countries with more than 70 fighter jets in their inventory. Assuming they are all combat ready and ignoring quite of few of these countries have older some to point of obsolete planes a single carrier could likely be higher on the list.
