British Army specialists join German counterparts on exercise

Specialist troops from the British Army have taken part in the German military’s main annual air logistics exercise.

Personnel from the Royal Logistics Corps’ 13 Air Assault Support Regiment travelled to Celle, Germany, to train with their German counterparts, the 8th Airborne Logistics Company.

The Colchester-based 13 Air Assault Support Regiment sustains the elite troops of the 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team, while 8th Airborne Logistics Company supports the German 31st Paratrooper Regiment.

  1. Watching Western Armies professionally motivate is pleasing compared to watching the uncoordinated and struggling armies in the east. It's like night and day. I would be worried in one of their countries.

  2. Europe must reinforce military cooperation at the Highest Level. Not only for the obvious reason of russia. Also because if Trump wins in 2024 he will pullout America from Nato and we will must be ready to defende ourselves all alone.

  3. I love the Germans and how they bend metal, their top tier 👌

Yes, they are patriotic but with heavy hearts.

I still respect German people and German engineering.

Two of the elites combined, no doubt. It's great to see.

  5. Putin brings together what belongs together. This guy really thought that we European brothers don't stick together when he messes up. Now he's going to learn the hard way. I am proud of our cooperation in Europe. We all stand together! Warm greetings from Germany to our loved European family!!

  7. Yeah, I think it's kind of wild 80 years ago, WW2 fighting each other and millions killed on both sides of these 2 countries. Today friends like nothing ever happened. Just hard to comprehend and wrap your head around.

  9. Concidering the history of our nations and our involvement in west germany which was ultimately the successing side of the destruction of the iron curtain. It makes absolute sense to further integrate combined arms with Germany. Germany is a power house, with their arms developments and combined with ours we could make some truely monstrous beasts. People need to get over the whole Britain should do this or that alone and realize combining armies and funds makes a larger and sometimes more reliable beast.

  10. These joint exercises are helpful to improve considerably together. Discovering similarities, seeing differents can only improve on both sides. All hope is we will not have to fight together, n' even more so never fight each other again.
