If you ever see that face you are 1 of 2 things. 1:You are on the maintenance crew or 2: You are soon to be dead.
The full round is bigger then an American beer bottles, and they come in two flavors which is HE (high explosive) and AP rounds made with Uranium. Uranium self sharpens like when it hits something hard, fast and hard, it makes it like a needle
New York to LA is a bit more than 500 miles bro haha. More like 2500 miles/3900km by air.
The first design had the wheel in the center and the gun off to the side but the gun was so powerful that it pulled the plane off to that side when fired so the gun was moved to the center and the wheel went off to the side.
I'm surprised that Israel doesn't have these in their arsenal!!!
American engineering
As a former 11B this plane has had our back on multiple occasions in Iraq
That large item under the fuselage is an extra fuel tank !
the turning radious on those is insane its a great thing to see, at least when its on your side.
Don't worry about having an A-10 on your ass, at least not if you're a jet. The A-10s engines don't push it very fast at all. It's often said that the A-10 is a single-engine jet, but they just broke it in half. It's the only aircraft that has to check behind it in case of a bird strike.
It is often said that the A10 Warthog is a gun built around an aircraft.
The "Thunderbolt" name comes from WW2 in honor of the P-57 tank buster who was equally devastating and could come home with 500 lbs of enemy bullets lodged in its frame.
When the A-10 is in the sky, you know somebodyās about to have a really bad day. Then again, it also means that a bunch of American marines are going to have a really good day.
As someone whoās been in country and had these over him. You just scream America and watch them save your ass š¤£
My friend you MUST go to an airshow! I went to one and it blew my mind. You should see a SEAD fire mission, it's like a ballet of death.
2:39 umm thatās not a missile itās a fuel pylon š more fuel bud
one of the best weapons we have , yet the left wing here in the states has been fighting for at least 15 years to shut them down decommission them , and sell them to the highest bidder ! the replacement , the f-35 , an excellent fighter plane , fast and very maneuverable , but it`s not the heavily armored tank killer the A 10 is ! we have a lot of total morons in our government and the pentagon ! we see them often , you hear them before you see them , and they always fly in pairs !
Because the A10 flies at a lower speed, it's maneuverability is outstanding. That's why it looks like it's almost floating. Allowing the A10 to stay on the battlefield longer to directly support grown troops. Which is one of it's main missions, awesomely crazy munitions, ground troops absolutely love this plane.
The USAF has been trying to get rid of the A10 for years even though it is the favorite of the ground troops it is supposed to support. If Ukraine had them at the beginning of the war with Russia…
Hi skibidi toilet lmao
There is a saying that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger except for an A10 a A10 will kill you.
As a Marine infantry officer and combat veteran, this was the single most important air support on the battlefield. The 30mm depleted uranium round can penetrate 1.5 inches of steel and it fires them at a rate of 65 rounds per second. Oh, and it carried bombs and air-to-air missiles. As to your question about the crew, it's a crew of one.
The A10 is my absolute favorite! I grew up miles from an army reserves base and they regularly did practice missions with the A10. The BRRRRRRRT off in the distance miles away was soooooo cool! I just wish i got to see ot when i was in the army myself. I was an intel analyst though, so i worked with a lot of UAVs. The jets were only brought in when shit hit the fan. A simple fly over with an F15 or F16 was enough to make my job nice and quiet and easy for an entire day or more. Haha they were terrified of the jets.
it moves like a rear wheel drive muscle car š
Its a flying tank built around a doom style bmfg. Than they paint sharkteeth around a fuselage that you might get to see before brrrrrrrrrt.
I grew up in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. When the air base was open. We had three squadrons of A-10.
To give some perspective the a10 can turn inside an American NFL stadium. It's simply a monster. It's a single occupant.
I live in indiana and as a kid when we'd spend time at my grandparents house at the lake the a10 would be doing live fire exercises at camp atterbury and we spend all day watching these monsters go in on gun runs. That gun live is bad ass. And the engine noise makes you know what's killing you.
As long as the enemy does not have quality anti-aircraft weapons, or decent fighter support. The A-10 rules. Or the A-10 has fighter support to take on enemy fighters.
Ive been binging this creators content all day š he's like a fanboy š
I loved serving on my subā¦wish ya would of been a mad good military manā¦.your excitement is amazingā¦thanks bud
The Fat Electrician has an A-10 video that really puts this plane into perspective. Its one of his shorter ones but well worth checking out.
Could you imagine the offspring of an A-10 Warthog & an A-6 intruder, that bastard child would bring hell in from on high, more so than either of them individually.
The Razorcrest was modeled based off the A10 warthog
The old saying: "If you hear the BRRRT you weren't the target."
The A10 is special, it's a fairly simple aircraft, but it's extremely good at what it was built for.
Normal countries āokay we need to build a plane and put guns on itā
America āokay letās build a gun and put a plane on itā š
The thing you were pointing at is not a missile but gas tank storage
Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, unless it's an A-10 Warthog then it just f*ucking kills you!
The key is NOT to see, nor hear them coming towards the enemy. Itās like the Grim Reaper from above!
Lewis, you love when any flying machine goes inverted.
They want to replace the A10 with the F35 but I'm pretty sure the guy on the ground wants a new A10 šā¤
A-10s are tank killers. I use to watch them do their practice flights in the dessert when my dad was stationed in California.
You should watch some clip where they called the A10 in for support I think there is one where it almost hit some British troops and scared the crap out of them š
To me this aircraft is the modern day Stuka….not the fastest plane in the sky, not a fighter plane, but can certainly defend itself….and it's main function is for support of ground operations.
The warthog is the direct predecessor of the P-47 thunderbolt. It was designed with triple redundant controls, and the ability to make it back to base with one wing, one engine, and half a tail missing.
Hey bro, the range was 2580 miles, not a range of 500 miles!
You should see how beautiful they look during an elephant walk
The A-10 is right up there with the SR-71 for awesome factor, just for different reasons.
