So for rule if you catch the ball you require 2 feet to touch in bounds to have possession and besides that the ball just has to be in someones hands and like cross that line he could technically like get shot out of a Canon 20 meters above the ground land on the other side in the audience some where and it would count but i think they might make a new rule about no human launching canons by next weeks game

I guess the NFL started in 2015. What the hell? You gotta react to a better video than this.
A lot of the dives are necessary because they are 'down' if their elbows, or anything below the waist (other than feet) touch the ground. So usually they're trying to keep their knees from hitting before they can 'break the plane' of the goal line with the ball. Also on the catches, you have to get both feet on the ground inbounds for it to be a catch, so that's why they fall a lot… to give time to 'tap' each foot on the ground inbounds, rather than try to protect yourself like you normally would when you fall. Sometimes the catching is only half of the great play.. getting both feet to touch the ground inbounds is the other half
Steve Atwater hit takes out 2 players, Elway helicopter play. Both happened in the same superbowl. Fabulous game. Best ever actually!
So I was born and raised just outside cincinnati, and I'm A HUGE Cincinnati Bengals fan! I was actually at the hame where Jerome Simpson did his flipping touchdown. He was such a great player anyway, but that flip put him next level. Also, if the ball even grazes the pylon (the orange thing), then it's considered a touchdown. Or if the nose of the ball just inches past the goal line, it's a touchdown.
these plays are good but having watched football for 50 plus years I wouldn't say most athletic.
