This video was embarrassing. Whoever made this video is extremely inaccurate. The Seals weren’t formed in response to the Iranian Embassy Hostage Crisis, that was Delta Force. How were The Seals formed in “response” to the 1980 Iranian Embassy Crisis, when they were serving in Vietnam in the 60’s?
I served in Old Navy back in the late 90’s as a cashier. We lost a lot of good men…mostly to better paying clothing stores

I am pretty sure the 28 yr old restriction on SEALs is for new recruits, not an automatic retirement age.
I was a Cold War MP that ended up a Battalion Intel NCO. My brother was a medic in the 82nd Airborne, and he went thru RIP- Ranger Indoctrination Program (now called RASP- Ranger Assessment and Selection Program) but did not get selected. He spent 12 years in the 82nd then taught at the Medic School. We like to think we're "hard" but we ain't THAT hard.
Lewis- if someone tells you they are a Green Beret? They're LYING. Not because they need to keep it a secret, but they don't advertise it. There is a thing called OPSEC. Operational Security. You keep your yap shut because it's the smart thing to do.
The reason you've heard of SEALs is because they have HUGE ego's and like to write books.
Delta Force is no longer called Delta either….. it's now called CAG- Combat Applications Group.
It was called "Team 6" because there are other SEAL teams.

Based in Coronado, California, this group includes SEAL Teams 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Naval Special Warfare Group Two
Based in Little Creek, Virginia, this group includes SEAL Teams 2, 4, 8, and 10.
Notice…. NO Team 6.
The reason for the age restriction is due to the length of extremely hard training. By the time you're trained up for a mission cycle? You're broken down. Now your body starts failing on you. After all the money invested into your training they want to use you more than once.
Lewis, are you sure you would survive basic training? All these people have already gone through basic training and other training before getting into any of these special units.

ASVAB stands for… Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. It’s an entrance exam to see what jobs you qualify for.
Recruit cut off is 28 dude, I know SEALs still on active duty at 40+.
28 is last year you can try out for Navy Seals but you can be in the well past
You’re a little off on the age thing, you need to be younger than 28 at the time of applying to the units. Take DJ shipley Jr for example he joined and completed BUDS at 17 and became a SEAL at 19. Also you need to check out more videos about the USAF PJ’s (Pararescue Jumpers) they are literally combat medics turned up to eleven and then given crack also they can perform surgery in the middle of a firefight and they have the longest (2yrs) training and the hardest training (95% dropout rate) the training pipeline is nicknamed “superman school”
I knew a guy that was a Navy SEAL. He'd be home in our small town for a month or 2 sometimes just living like everybody else … then next thing you know he's gone for months with no warning… just vanished. He told me he was a SEAL… but couldn't tell me anything about what he has done, location or anything.
i think people just say their in the special forces and that is usually peoples indication to not ask more questions and subject change.
My cousin wasn't in the special forces, however he was doing something just as secretive, maybe more so. He was stationed on a nuclear sub, and was involved in the attack that overthrew Qaddafi in Lybia. He can't speak specifics it's classified….
My dad served in Vietnam, was 82nd airborne, and a Special Forces Green Beret. He also received a purple heart among many other medals. I'm so proud of him for serving our country.

the video fails to note about Army Rangers is that other branches of service, apart from the Army, earn the tab…it's a universal school
no, you know the name 'delta force' but you don't actually know what they do…they're not even completely funded by the US Army…unlike the navy SEALs, delta is still in the dark
28 is the cut of to join meaning as long as your 28 or under when you join it doesn't matter how old you are afterwards
As far as the Navy seals are concerned, I believe that age was a starting point. Then they keep going as long as they're able.
I hear gunshots almost every day. Neighbors shooting on their properties or hunting. It doesn’t faze me at all.

some units you can admit to being in others you cannot it depends on the unit, however most of them cannot talk about their missions (sometimes not even about all their training)…I was 82nd airborne met many rangers and green berets (maybe a few from others never asked) some while still in jump school straight out of osut…watch more fat electrician, he covers a lot of these better

The Green Berets pronounced ber-ay like the french do, You can have your own special pronunciation of any words you want, but it's rude to pronounce proper names wrong…. also they have been around since the 50s and there was a song written about them in the 60s… how do you not know about them before 20 years ago?

The truth is, there was a special forces helicopter unit sent to take out the BROTHER of OSAMA BIN LADEN, on his compound.
One of the helicopters crashed in the compound and on the barrier.
They killed Bin Ladens brothers, wife's and children, and then took the so called OSAMA BIN LADEN body to a aircraft carrier off the coast. There, they cover the body from head to toe and tossed him overboard, saying that he was BIN LADEN.
What really happened was, that Bin laden was shot in the caves of Afghanistan, just about 6 months after his plots on American soil.
The only reason why President Bush didn't bring it up at that time was, because he didn't want Bin Laden to become a martyr…
But, it wasn't the same for the President Barack Obama, as that's when this all happened..😏

It IS a French word, after all and, apparently, the French don't understand what a "t" is supposed to sound like so they just made it silent.🤣
That plane with what you thought might be a rocket is called an "AWACS". It stands for Airborne Warning and Control System. It's a long-range radar surveillance and control aircraft that is used for air defense. It's a modified Boeing 707 or 767 aircraft with a large rotating radar dome on top. There's 31 of these planes in the US Air Force and 17 more in various NATO air forces.
Without actual first hand knowledge, my guess is that the civilians, in the special forces, are mostly doctors and technical advisors.
