Welcome back to the channel everyone. This will be my last flight for 2023. This flight will be departing from Charleston International Airport and landing at Charleston Executive Airport (JZI). At 11:50pm, We took off from JZI, and stayed in the pattern to make one landing to a full stop. After back-taxing on RWY 27, we took off again and flew towards Kiawah Island area hoping to see some New Year fireworks. Unfortunately, it was not what we expected. After flying toward Kiawah Island, then decided to fly north up the coast towards Folly Beach, still nothing but local fireworks in certain neighborhoods. We flew over to Isle of Palms before contacting Charleston Approach and requesting land. We were given a heading and instructed to land on runway 21 at Charleston. Although we did not get the firework show that was expected, at least I got in another night flight in my favorite airplane.
