The first Brightline train arrived at the Orlando International Airport stop on Wednesday. The higher-speed rail service will eventually connect Orlando to Miami.

I can’t wait for them to go Tampa bound!
So at top speed, how long from Orlando to Miami? And keep cars off the tracks!
It's nice and everything but Brightline doesn't go directly to Miami, WPB or Fort Lauderdale airports.
America needs public transportation all over the country. United States has the worst public transportation in the world. We need to free our cities from cars. We need tramways high speed trends everywhere. Electric busses every 10 minute. Enough of highways and bridges and cars.
Was a good idea but now our country is under the new world order soon thanks to Joe, everyone will be bankrupt.
I am so excited about this. When I visit my Mom in South Florida, we will be taking Brightline to Orlando and keeping the car in her garage.
Kudos 👏 Thank you 😊 🙏
my son wants to become a transport engineer. As a mother I feel very proud of him and we will make his dream a reality .
YES! BRIGHTLINE IS ON TRACK TO ORLANDO!
Still no electrified railroad tracks?
Can hardly wait! I’d like to take the first train on bright line from Orlando airport to either Fort Lauderdale or Miami when it happens. I am a real fan but I also want it for real transportation.
Cant wait for it to connect to Tampa Bay!!
Hopefully this train connects to Ft Lauderdale airport or even West Palm Beach airport. That would be great for any sort of airline layovers or for travelers who need to go further south or north, but the flight does not.
Fast speed? And tickets for 100$ to miami?
It's not high speed yet, but when the tracks are electrified and the road crossings are removed, it will be able to be run at high speed.
Does anyone know if it makes stops at the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami cruise ports?
Awesome 🙂
This is not high speed rail. In Europe and Asia, high speed trains run at speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.
They are popular here n South Florida news, with as many cars they hit so often.
LOWER THE PRICE!!! SO CALL WANNA SAVE THE PLANET, OR IS FOR THE ELITES
Remember when California was gonna build a high speed rail system? Dems get nothing done!
It will be a novelty at first BUT, watch what happens as time goes on… Watch !!!
I'm surprised the FRA allows the line to run at all. I mean it did hit cars on like 15 different occasions.
How how our CALIFORNIA high speed train started construction in 2015, and yet we haven't seen any thing major that looks like a high speed train is almost here….
🥳🚉 BRAND NEW MADE IN OIA. 🎊🎉
Is this a diesel powered ?
Finally. OIA has train. Like European airports. Way greener and less stress then driving
High speed? Lol, I commend Brightline for their progress, but let's not blend the terms "high speed" with "higher speed." The two are not the same thing.
Great though we have had this in Belgium since 1995 …
Will they extend it to Tampa?
Orlando Intl Airport is actually MCO not OIA
It runs on diesel what’s the point? Like if you want to have faster journeys start adding the pantographs. High speed means electric nothing else and no not batteries good old wires!!!!!
Finally! Have family in Miami that I visit often, having this will make the travel easier. Miami is far enough where driving is annoying but flying to not sensible and is expensive.
Sadly its not the Future, its the PAST for MOST developed countries BUT the US. Next YEAR are you serious.. They should be in TAMPA by now. Thanks Rick Scott for NOTHING.
so another 2 yearsof so called testing for employees to rake in the money?
Nah. Not very quickly. /
This is cool but they need to make them bullet trains if they want this to be successful in the long run, 3 hours for Orlando to Miami is too long.
I'm in the West of Florida but it would still be more convenient for me to take a car to WPB and ride the train the rest of the way. Driving to Orlando is always a disaster unless I'm willing to drive through the night and get there at like 4AM or something.
Is that a diesel electric locomotive ? The definition of HSR is different here from that of Europe it seems the trains are crossing directly down roads .
Another headline could be: America arrives into the 19th century!
While it's not really all that high speed, it's still a welcome addition to Florida's options for transit. I live in Orlando and will definitely be taking this train to Miami when it opens for a weekend. I do wish they would remove the at-grade crossings and increase the speed but in the US I'll take what I can get as far as passenger rails go.
wake me when it gets to Tampa… They already approved it
Great that the news anchors were championing rail at the end by suggesting "I'll do anything other than drive". Of course there's the whole issue after going from A to B, to finally C in so many American cities but I'll take it for now.
This is a huge deal!👍
