Bridger Aerospace super scoopers leave for Canada

Bridger Aerospace’s super scoopers are heading for the fire lines in Canada.

“We’ve offered to assist and are sending a lot of our fleet up there — the entire scooper fleet, as well as some other aircraft to help with the surveillance and mapping of those fires. And just hoping we can help out and protect,” Bridger Aerospace chief executive officer Tim Sheehy said.

The call for help came in on Wednesday night.

“To help our colleagues up North in Nova Scotia or anywhere else in the world, you know, we jumped at that opportunity because, you know, we want to show everybody that these airplanes are truly, you know, made for what they are, and that’s to save lives and, you know, put water on fire,” Bridger Aerospace scooper fleet maintenance operations manager Stephen Esposito said.

  1. I'm from Alberta and I wish this report would have more accurately reflected how many people have been evacuated due to wildfires. It's not thousands across Canada, it's 30,000 in Alberta alone.

  2. Nice people!
Turns out Super Scoopers are made in Canada. (In France they just say "Canadair" (company name), not super scooper or water bomber. "Firefighters in Canadairs are working around the clock" etc.)
