BREAKING: UK Airspace Hit By Network-Wide Air Traffic Control FAILURE

UK airspace has been hit by a network-wide failure for air traffic control systems, a British airline has said.

Loganair warned customers on X, formally known as Twitter, that flights may be subject to delays due to the outage.

In a statement, the Glasgow-based airline said: “There has been a network-wide failure of UK air traffic control computer systems this morning.

“Although we are hopeful of being able to operate most intra-Scotland flights on the basis of local co-ordination and with a minimum of disruption, north-south and international flights maybe subject to delays.

“If you are flying with us today, please check our website for the latest information about your flight before setting off for the airport.”

TalkTV’s Mike Graham is joined by aviation analyst Alex Macheras who predicts that this disruption will cause “chaos.”

In a statement, National Air Traffic Services (NATS), which provides air traffic control services in the UK, said: “We are currently experiencing a technical issue and have applied traffic flow restrictions to maintain safety.

“Engineers are working to find and fix the fault.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

  2. It just happened to 'fail' on the busiest day of the year despite having multiple fail-over back-ups….. Ummmm? Yeah, right! It was a deliberate inside job. Don't like us flying, don't like airlines allowing us to fly. Oh, and don't like us – period!

  3. Apparently this was caused by the French….again.
Notice how the French air traffic controllers have strikes during holiday periods, must admit it's strange the snail munchers have caused this delay by filing the wrong flight plan into the system, was it deliberately on purpose I wonder?
Why do we trust the French with flight data…… They can't even wash properly

  4. All profits given to shareholders, unearned income, using offshore banking to pay in nothing to state.
NATS Holdings part privatised air control.
Public part will be to blame of course

  6. Of course, there's a new inquiry needed so let's hope it's not as futile as the infected blood inquiry has been!
We'll all be dead by the time the results are finalised!
As many of those who were at the beginning of the inquiry, already are!
