Bradley Running The Show & The Art Of Shithousery | EP 77

Do referees subconsciously favour big clubs, particularly when they’re at home? How do we feel about players mocking each other’s celebrations? Why does Gary think things will definitely come good for Darwin Núñez?

Gary, Alan and Micah also sing the praises of Michael Olise and discuss whether Gareth Southgate should be looking to try and snap him up before he makes a senior international appearance for France.

  1. As a Bolton fan, I was almost certain that Conor Bradley (and James Trafford for that matter) would both get loans to promotion-chasing Championship teams and then be ready for the Prem in 24-25 because they were outrageously good for their age and League One level. But to see Bradley putting in these performances as Liverpool and then Trafford, although having a tough time and getting no help from his defenders, is showing his potential with some impressive saves, they’re exceeding even what I thought they could achieve this season.

  2. Question. Did Darwin Nunez hit the woodwork 2 times or 4 times.??? Djordje Petrovic pushed his first effort onto the bar, he pushed his second effort onto the post. That means Nunez hit the woodwork twice. You can not say Nunez hit the woodwork 4 times, when the keeper pushed 2 shots onto the woodwork, if he did not touch them, then its 2 goals for Nunez. the keeper actions were decisive actions, they were saves. Reminder did TTA hit a shot that hit the woodwork and went in off Berd Leno V Fulham and its a own goal due to the keeper touching it. Decisive is what its called when a keeper diverts the ball away or into the nett, so Darwin hit the woodwork 2 times only

  3. that whole part of the hitting the "target" off the bar/post was so amazing haha by far the best football podcast (with the likes of ben) and its a joy to watch! might be contract restrictions but getting kate abdo on for a special episode i think would be great too or others for little guest episodes? is that something you 3 have talked about? not every episode of course but i like to see people be able to let loose and not have to watch their words while on tv etc.

  4. Not a single comment on Mac Allister?, he was the one who actually ran the show, this sort of jake for all trades he is playing for Jurgen it's getting him even further in his already great level.

The problem might actually be Poch too, beside injuries, constant changes of squad and the lack of a reliable striker since ages

  5. I don’t think any of them were penalties but Paul Tierney and most of the refs are absolutely awful so what do we expect??!!.
Until the “Old Boys” clubs is removed from the PGMOL as all they do it defend each other and make horrendous decisions week in week out. The best league in the world apparently with the worst officiating!!!. Kind of defeats the object of having such a league!!.

  6. Caisedo was "unbelievable" at Brighton and see what Poch gets out of him. So, no great hopes for positive change once all the injured come back. Plus, do all other teams play at full strength, injury wise? Newcastle, for sure, don't.

  7. One of those cases of “if given on the field, VAR won’t overturn”. Problem is with “clear and obvious” – it’s subjective and the VAR officials don’t ever want to embarrass their friends for missing a call on the field.

  8. The bit about putting pressure on young players is definitely something that happens. It is particularly bad with the English media, who hype up player ability and England's chance of winning tournaments to ridiculous levels.

  9. Lads lads lads, are we missing out on the fact that nkunku got kicked from behind and then flinged his legs backwards. How does that make any sense? Literally doesn't make any sense. Alan had a big fuss about Jota but doesnt care about this one, wonder why. Gallaghers was small contact but its a bad touch and hes only got one aim after that and its to dive

  10. "There was contact" doesn't mean it was a penalty. Never has, never will, its these nonsense comments that cause the league to be plagued by diving. "He felt a touch he should of gone down" no, not ever… if your intention is to score, stand up and be a man, its embarrassing hearing shearer say things like this, he likes to brag about his career, half of his goals would of been 50/50s if they'd of gone to penalties, it doesn't increase your chance to score, stay on your feet and shoot, it's called football, not carpet hugging

  11. Don’t know if you gents will see this question, but hearing how you spoke about Nunez vs Jesus had me wondering if you could break down just a bit more what makes them different? On the surface their biggest issue seems to be similar in that you mentioned they both struggle to convert their chances, but Nunez seems to have you guys believing he’ll come good, whereas Jesus doesn’t seem to be seen that way. Massive fan of the pod – keep up the great work! #YNWA

  12. I think Gary and Alan underestimate just how big Fantasy Prem is. It's all over every workplace up and down the land (and beyond!). It keeps otherwise underwhelming games interesting and is the source of a lot of work banter. It's like betting without the misery.

  13. As an Arsenal fan Jesus is an unbelievable player but not an unbelievable striker. For the balance of the team I think he’d be better out wide and then signing a centre forward. Jesus would be unreal in an old school system with 2 up top
