Bonza aircrafts to remain grounded after lending negotiations failed

Bonza’s aircraft fleet to remain grounded as negotiations with lenders have stalled.

Bonza, and its administrator Hall Chadwick, released a joint statement on Tuesday afternoon revealing all flights would remain cancelled until May 14.

The first meeting of creditors is scheduled to occur on May 10.

Hall Chadwick estimates that there are approximately 58,000 creditors who are owed money.

The administrators said they are not currently in a position to process or offer refunds.

Bonza’s flights were grounded last Tuesday, and the airline was placed into administration shortly after.

Hall Chadwick has been negotiating with the lessors of the aircraft, trying to gain access to them so Bonza can operate temporarily, but these actions have failed, and the lessors are seeking to reposition the fleet elsewhere.

  1. ……the hubris, & arrogance by now ex Bonza CEO Jordan, from the outset, was beyond the pale. His badly-run outfit joins many other LCC’s who thought they’d ‘do well’ here…………‘‘twas not to be………
