  1. they came to Kiev a few years back. it was a 2 day festival, and we had to ask days off from work just for the journey. had to choose between seeing Simon the one night or Gorillaz the other. sure enough, we went for Simon. he wasn't even the headlinier for that day, Massive Attack played straight after. we couldn't stay, because we would miss our train home, but we didn't really mind, we were there for him.
sad to say, he played to worst audience ever. probably 50 people in the crowd. it was the living embodiment of the "you guys don't get it yet but your kids are gonna love it" meme. but me and my wife being the superfans we are – we were just living the dream, hoping that night wouldn't change his mind about coming to Ukraine again.

    good times…

  2. Have watched a bunch of Glastonbury vids. One BIG difference I've noticed between these shows and American concerts…is that there is hardly anyone at the UK shows who are recording stuff on their phones. It seems…that folks in the UK actually want to BE THERE. They watch the show through their eyes. In the US…people seem to watch the shows through their phones. I wonder why that is?

  3. Unreal. Saw Bonobo at Citadel festival back in 2017 and they blew my mind. This looks so good… and not 1 smart phone in sight, what a delight to see everyone living in the moment

  4. Him and four Tet always blow the crowd away, especially with a live band!
Was lucky to see both of them in Dublin a few years ago, would love to go to Glastonbury sometime though….

  5. Seen Bonobo a few years ago at Glasto, had to miss them this year in favour of another band I wanted to see. Quite gutted really, but that's what happens with Glasto. Sometimes you have to make painful sacrifices, and this was clearly one of them.

  6. I hate people and I despise crowds but I would totally brave the storm at Glastonbury to see a show such as this. Makes US festivals all look like Country Fair Concerts. UK over there Rippin' it and we'all over here wondering where the cotton candy is…..
