Boeing just Revealed the Next Aircraft Is HERE!
In recent, Boeing has been miserably defeated by Airbus with the impressive long-range A321 XLR in the middle segment – the segment that the 757 and 767 dominated before. But “Hold on!”, Boeing have revealed the unveiling of their game-changing 797, a new aircraft not only designed to reclaim market share but to elevate the entire aviation industry to unprecedented heights.
Why does the 797 have the potential to knock the A321XLR off its pedestal? Can Boeing truly rewrite history with this aircraft? Let’s find out!

Boeing just Revealed the Next Aircraft Is HERE!
The Boeing 797 is poised to be a game-changer, seamlessly bridging the gap in Boeing’s current lineup, particularly between the single-aisle 737 Max and the widebody 787 Dreamliner. But what does that truly mean? At its core, Boeing envisions the 797 as the ultimate mid-market solution – a remarkable aircraft capable of carrying between 220 and 270 passengers with an impressive range of up to 5,000 nautical miles. It’s the perfect answer for airlines seeking to optimize medium-range routes without the size and cost of larger aircraft like the Dreamliner while still offering greater capacity and range than the 737 Max.
Boeing just Revealed the Next Aircraft Is HERE!
The timing of the Boeing NMA couldn’t be more critical. The Airbus A321 XLR will soon dominate the mid-market space with resounding success, filling the exact gap that Boeing now aims to target. Airlines have added the A321 XLR to their fleets, drawn to its outstanding cost efficiency for medium-range routes. Boeing recognizes this competitive challenge, and the 797 is their bold response – a strategic weapon to reclaim market share in a global arena where airlines demand flexible, high-performance aircraft. Designed to set a new standard in efficiency and versatility, this aircraft isn’t just Boeing’s answer – it’s their ambition to redefine the mid-market aviation landscape.

What about th c919?
I think BOEING 797 it's perfectly fit too for Garuda Indonesia as the Indonesian flag carrier Indonesia's National Airline ordering/adding more plane AIRBUS and BOEING much like AIR INDIA historical AIRBUS and BOEING order as I know for beating Lion air's fleet as I know is the world's most worst airline ever forever and ever because of got delayed on every year as I hate it for Indonesia's largest airline/Indonesia's largest airline fleet like that.
Comparing the A321 XLR (In service already) to the proposed, not even officially launched and that might take another ten years or more to enter service, just makes no sense!
Yes, Boeing should build the 797. I think it will be future and get it out of the mess. It’s in. I don’t want them to go under the blowing aircraft.
Sorry Sir, but you again offer unhinged speculation!
There currently IS NO NEW AIRLINER PROGRAM at BOEING!
There is no finalized spec, no assigned budget, no timeline, no internal (board) approvals, and no engineering departments assigned. On the contrary: Boeing ist just laying off 17,000 employees, many of whom could instead have been assigned to an approved and funded project.
Boeing has built up a shady legacy of announcing fancy visions of new flying wonders like the "Sonic Cruiser" and the "Blended Wing Body" in order to thus derail possible big fleet decisions of major customers in favor of its competitors (i.e. Airbus in the modern battleground). The "797" is a paper dream – and will remain so for the foreseeable future!
Boeing has to learn how to build a world best aircraft because they definitely do not know how to do it any more. They build to fall apart these days.
Good luck on the B797….there is no official launch mentioned by Boeing yet. The company is losing a lot of money on various aircraft and projects and even doing badly in the aerospace arena. Fix the workhorses like the B737 Max first and get the B777 up and running. You need revenue from those projects to fund the development of a new one. And stop the bleeding on other projects. But I do agree…both aircraft types are old designs. So Boeing needs to step up their game. It is not an easy solution…and very costly too.
797 ?
Boeing should seriously consider revitalising the 757 and 767 series, similar to the way they’ve advanced the MAX, Dreamliners, and the upcoming 777X. These single-aisle and twin-engine aircraft were iconic, versatile, and have proven their value in cargo operations, but it’s disappointing to see no airlines flying them in passenger service anymore.
A next-generation design, with updated frames and technology, could be a true game-changer, particularly for long-haul routes. Boeing should also develop a new freight version of the 757. In my opinion, this could transform the cargo sector, offering modernised capabilities and efficiency for operators.
If I were a customer, I’d definitely consider placing an order for a fleet like that for my airline. A refreshed 757 or 767 could fill an important gap in the market and provide a fresh perspective on both passenger and cargo operations. Boeing should consult with airlines to see the potential—this could redefine the market entirely.
Boring. This rubbish comes every week to stop it share price from tanking.
BOEING will NEVER make another NEW aircraft. NEVER. the best it will do in the next 20 years is rehash the 787.
Just like the 1950s 737. Or the 1960s 777.
AIRBUS and ROLLS ROYCE are the future of commercial aviation. FACT.
bs everyday !
What is the body diameter of the prposed 797? 2+3+2 seating?
Boeing cannot deliver their existing faulty planes and now is anouncing a NEW ONE?
The so called 797 had already several paper versions along the years but never came true … Boeing cannot fix huge flaws on existing aircraft and now want us to believe they can create a new one? Get real …
First Boeing needs to still certify 3 new planes and to fix quality issues. Then they start launch of anew airplane that takes 10 years to certify- we are in 2038. Until then Airbus has a 322 certified, implemented enhancements and will utilize new engines. This looks more realistic than a new 797 – btw which would be great and needed.
Are there other than harmful emitions?
It will probably beat the 777x into service
This video was obviously written by Boeing's PR flacks who hope to stop the hemmoraging of customers to 8:39 Airbus. In the long term, Boeing has nothing to fear. The U.S . Defense Dept, NSA, CIA, NASA and the rest of the industrial/military/intelligece apparatus will keep shoveling billion of dollars to keep Boeing afloat and insuring the company keeps paying healthy dividends and provides every departing executive with a golden parachute……no matter how badly he performed. Much has been written about Boeing's "culture" and mostly blaming the merger with mcdonnel-Douglas. The rot in both fish and corporations starts with the head. Boeing's Board, a club of good Ole boys, needs to resign or be fired.
According to the title, so the NEW AIRPLANE is a freshly Repainted 737-100 ?? BaDoink is done
I am not sure that that the 797 as described here will be a gamechanger. Yes it outperforms the A321, but not anywhere near by enough.
There are no suitable engines for the 797, and it will have to wait for them to be developed. Even if Airbus only updates the A321 with those new engines, as it stands, the increase in range and improved operating costs would make it better than a 797 as described here.
The A321 probably has more than enough orders to keep it going until it is replaced,, and it will more than likely be that replacement that will compete with the 797.
While Boeing still has many issues to resolve, Airbus has an up-to-date range that cannot be improved that much without new engines. no doubt their resources are substantially free to be working on their next new model.
Boeing should develop jet powered by hydrogen now, or risk losing its cutting edge technology to Airbus!
They can’t even get the 777x or the 737-7max and 737-10 MAX certified. It will be a good decade before a 797 comes to fruition. By then, Airbus will have lapped them multiple times.
nothing new here… boeing is way late to design any mid range aircraft…too late..the A321XLR already won that race…
"If executed flawlessly" it is more likely that I travel to mars.
