Yesterday I visited Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to finally film the Kühne + Nagel special livery on the Boeing 747-8F of Atlas Air. I was trying to catch this B747 since a while but never managed to film it although it already visited Liege where I film quite often. The B747-8F with the registration N862GT was delivered in November 2022 and it` s the 2nd – last B747 which was ever built. The last Jumbo Jet ever produced also joined the Atlas Air fleet and it has Apex Logistics titles.
I was able to film several Boeing 747` s yesterday. The B747-400 of Silk Way made a pretty hard landing which was caused by crosswinds from the south/west. Also note that engine number three came quite close to the ground while the pilots had to do some corrections right after touchdown.
The KLM B747-400 Freighter has a white nose now. Looks like the aircraft was in need of a new part and often they just replace the parts without adjusting the livery. Looks quite funny.
Amsterdam Schiphol is the best airport in europe when it comes to planespotting. As you can see in this video there are no fences around the airport. Only a small river seperates the airport area with the normal area. It` s just relaxing to stand next to the runway and watch Boeing 747` s and other heavy land right in front of your camera.
Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.

Wow, my airport had some that were arriving, sadly all are retired or into a new plane oike 787-9 dreamliner
Awesome livery for the first one
Cool
Beautiful 2nd last Queen Of The Skies N862GT cheers!
Always a great day when Cargospotter uploads! Great shots of the queen of the skies!
N859GT at 02:25 is the one who had the #2 engine fire as she departed KMIA 2024 Jan 18. N850GT at 11:00 had a cargo fire indication 2013 June 24, emergency landing at IAD and crew evacuating via stairs on the taxiway. Drama Queens.
N862GT has the name "Inspire" under the FO's window. When you see her, N863GT's name is "Empower" and she should still have the decal of Joe Sutter below her name on the FO's side.
Thanks SO much for catching Old Triple Strike at 06:23 00 — my favourite queen, though I feel happy when I see Leeuwin at 10:27 as well.
This is giving 747 Queen of the Skies runway fashion show…one after the other aviation magnificence✈️ A special nod to the Sunset Golden hour backlighting🌅
