BOEING 747 CLASSIC LANDING with a DEFECT REVERSER (4K)

This Boeing 747-200 Classic is still going strong in 2023. Geo Sky is one of the last operators of the B747-200 and they are frequent visitors on european airports. They mainly connect Asia with Europe via its homebase Tbilsi in georgia. Currently they operate a fleet of two B747-200F and a single B757-200F. The B757 hasn` t visited europe yet. It is mainly used for direct cargo flights between asia and airports in east asia.

A few weeks ago I filmed the 36 – year old B742 “4L-GEN” arriving at Maastricht. The reverser of an engines was defect or wasn` t used for the landing. At least I am quite sure it wasn`t intentional because on the other side both reversers were deployed. The aircraft started its aviation life with British Airways as a passenger plane in 1987. In 2002 Air Atlanta bought the airframe and converted it into a freighter plane. It spent lots of time operating for MASKargo from Malaysia and I still remember seeing it quite often in Amsterdam when it was operateing cargo flights for MASKargo as TF-ARJ.

  1. #86👍🎉💛This lady is doing it all and just 36 years young. I can't believe the last one just left Everett! I really thought with it's hauling capacity the line would keep running. A twin engine 777F maybe more fuel efficient; but what % of the load of a Dash 8 can these really carry? I don't like these long over water passenger flights with only two engines!!

  2. My first ride in a 747 was a short hop SFO to LAX. Sat in first class all by myself I could see out nearly all windows and that was so cool! We had a ground speed returning from Hawaii of over mach 1 because of a 240 kt tail wind in the jet stream. Amazing!!
