Bodycam footage shows the disturbing moments surrounding the shooting of a 13-year-old girl in New Mexico on July 28. Authorities said 14-year-old Porfirio Brown shot Amber Archuleta with his father’s gun and initially tried claiming the girl was killed in a drive-by shooting. The teen was arrested and charged with murder in Archuleta’s death. His father, 39-year-old William Brown, was also charged in the tragic shooting. Every state needs a law like Benny’s law. It would hopefully get negligent parents who do not lock up guns in their house, to start being more responsible. A gun should not be accessible to, or even touched at all by a minor (under 18 years old) unless a parent is present and involved with the minor’s use of the gun. Any thing short of that should result in the arrest of the parent/parents/adult custodian. Whether or not the minor is arrest or accused of a crime like this.
Lying to a police officer should also be enforced fully. It is an actually law in most states, but isn’t commonly enforced.
The kid should be in jail. You know he’s a future criminal…
Parents like the dad of the boy is reasons why guns should be outlawed. No security on his weapons, the dad should be charged as well. Lock that kid up for life. No remorse and tried to cover it up, F that kid and dad.
