  1. Florida is a constitutional carry state since 7/1/23 and it allows CONCEALED carry, not outside the clothing, in restaurants in the area that is not primarily for service of alcohol, ie in the restaurant area. I can't make out the video, but if he was carrying the gun on his hip without it being concealed, that is against the law. If he went into the bar area, ie primarily for service of drinks, that is illegal. If he had it concealed under his clothing and was in the restaurant he would be legal. But you have to be a moron to go into a bar open carrying, fully exposed on your hip. He might be the only one with a gun in the bar… but in the restaurant, good chance of a good person with a gun concealed. Yes, it will be interesting if the prohibited places are challenged under the constitution. They include airports, govt buildings like the post office or courts, school property. And hanging over all is a federal law from the 90's that prohibits anyone without a permit with a loaded gun not locked away in the car within 1000 feet of SCHOOL PROPERTY. That means driving by, you are in felony territory. So a permit eliminates that, however unlikely it is, plus for some cc insurance, it saves you $100 a year having a permit. Plus able to carry in reciprical states, and have no waiting period to buy guns. It is not limited to guns, it is a concealed WEAPON permit so knives, batons etc can be carried as well.

  3. With what happened recently in Maine, I don't blame him. Shit, with the state the world is in, I don't blame him. Unfortunately for him, it was a place where firearms are prohibited. Any other situation, If he has a license, and he wasn't being rowdy in the first place, I don't see the need to bother him. Shit, I've been thinking about buying myself a vest recently. You could get shot up anywhere nowadays. A good few years ago you could just call that paranoia. But these days its actually proactive.
