Hey everyone, time for another test of 3d scanning with Lumalabs AI.. And man, what a game changer it is for 3d scanning. I’ve done a fair bit of scanning with other workflows, and Lumalabs is so much easier and the NeRF’s look incredibly lifelike with the way they handle materials and environments
Here, I’ve filmed sculptures at the National Gallery of Denmark by moving around them a few times and recording videos of around 1 minutes length each. I’ve uploaded those videos to Lumalabs website, waited for them to process just to be blown away by the result.
The video was filmed on an Android phone without a 3d sensor, so these are from pure video data. Incredible!
After Lumalabs finished processing these, I could then export them NeRFs as ply files and import them into Marmoset Toolbag with vertex colors.
What do you think about NeRFs? The future of 3d scanning or maybe even 3d in general?
