Alien Frontiers is still near the top of my favorite games of all time. I just played it last week! I have the 4th Edition Big Box, and I wish it hit the table more often so I could use more of the expansions. Only played base last time because I was teaching again.
Alien Frontiers is STILL one of my favorite games and holds up for me after a decade+. There’s a good amount of depth and paths to victory, and factions and orbital belt vary it up well when base feels samey. I always Play with the agendas module from expansion to improve endgame.
I am all in on Luthier. Worker placement AND guitars! It's like it was made for me.

The army painter speed paint metallics are very hit and miss. I had a few that were clumpy and needed to be reconstituted.
I really enjoyed the dice tower awards. The DT skits were really great. Grant's standup was funny. The above board stuff didn't really land for me.
