He better worry about making the playoffs, nobody besides islanders fans want to see that boring ass hockey in the playoffs.
Horvat just proved what many suspected, he's not the leader many in Vancouver thought he was.
He's not THAT good anyway….so much hype for a career 60 point player 😅.
Guys. I was in Vancouver in 2009, the year before they returned to the SC finals and the city was electrified by the coming Winter Olympics. The loudest cheers was Shania Twain on the video board.
I have not been to an I 0:02 Islanders game, but funerals are more raucous that what I witnessed in the Canucks barn.
I’m neither a Canucks nor Islanders fan so I don’t have a horse in this race… I think the shot from Bo was directed more at Canucks mgmt and how they handled things the past year than it was at fans (although you guys can definitely be brutal 😂). Also guessing “much better” was meant in terms of finally being in a playoff race. He probably just didn’t articulate it clearly enough in the moment
I couldn't agree with you more. You said everything I've been saying😂
Vancouver has one of the quietest buildings in the league. Not just the last couple of years because they suck, but Calgary and Edmonton are way louder. So is Winnipeg. Vancouver is a fair weather town for all of their teams.
It’s not that deep. The building is obviously louder than a draft lottery team.
Nice hot take.
Meh, Canucks fans have had to deal with Aqualoonie and his ridiculous pricing of tickets and concession. The real fans have been priced out of the building and all that's left are the instagram view chasers who don't know a lick about hockey.
Who cares about the ring of honour lol.
Guy probably doesn't even get recognized in public in NY and he calls their fans better lol
I’m sorry that Bo Horvat spoke the truth like that! What was he thinking? Those grumpy Canuck fans don’t like looking in the mirror! He was there long enough and should have known this! LGI’s
Horvat was NEVER going to go into the ring to begin with.
If he wanted to be a Canuck for life, he shouldn't have turned down $8M/yr.
We should have a ring of dishonour for Canucks ownership and management
What he said is about the playoff push and lack of playoff pushes in Vancouver. It wasn't directed at the fans
I'm not a fan of guys from non-playoff teams making the playoffs in their first season with a new team anyways.
it was quiet because during horvat's tenure in vancouver there wasn't too much to get loud about. oh he's going to get it the first time the NYI come to vancouver.
Regardless of whether he made those comments or not, he was never going into ROH anyways. No disrespect to Bo, but Vancouver needs to have higher expectations and not inducting everyone.
He was talking about management not the fans I'm a diehard canucks fan, but most of the fans are snowflakes with 2 brain cells and are incompetent of putting a intelligent thought together bunch of geniuses 😂
How dare he , Vancouver Canuck fans are the most passionate ever
Dude the Islanders couldnt even fill there rink. Was literally the worst place to play until Tavares went into the dumpster fire. Like how is this even a topic.
I think Bo is a straight up guy and doesn't ruffle feathers in the nest. He carried on admirably while in Vancouver and contributed to a bottom tier team while others didn't. His comments are more indicative of how the Canuck ownership and management handled the team. Benning brought in Loui Ericksson who managed to score his first goal in a Canuck uniform, but unfortunately at the wrong end of the rink. Despite how awful the canucks were, Bo always stood up for the team, when many others didn't. That's what you want in a captain.
He was my favorite canuck. The fans were upset because we gave him a lot of love, we even made him Captain. The office is what screwed him over.
Of course Bo named Vancouver, that was his old team. I say this all the time, Vancouver is a city of fair-weather fans…for all of their sports. Horvat gave his team his all, was playing well, and was let down by the fans, the management, and welcomed a group of fans that like him there.
Vancouver will boo him when he comes back, they do not treat their players well. What they did to Peter Zezel years ago was a disgrace, and the management do not care!!!
Bo Horvat did not start anything, he was left out to dry like the rest of the team. I live in BC and am not a fan of the Canucks, never have been.
A well-known Vancouver business has put up a comment on their signage…"F@*k You, Horvat". Return serve, a$$hole.
he aint wrong i still love you bo
Who else just hides these guys videos from their subscription feed
Horvat might not get his jersey retired now.
Halford has too much seed oils in his diet, that is why his face is so chubby. If he eliminated seed oils in favor of proper saturated fats, that problem will solve itself in a few months. and to be clear, any seed oils is too much seed oils. then ofcourse you have the carbs issue. but if we just stay with seed oils. you can solve those chubby problem by just eliminating seed oils.
He's speaking his mind. Telling the truth. We need more of that from NHL players.
Vancouver is trash who cares…
Stop defending him, dude basically spat on you guys 😂 canuck fans are hilarious.
I can’t wait until Captain Hughes makes Bo eat his words. Watching the 2008-2013 seasons our fans are we’re loud. We had the greenmen chicks going topless it was 🎉
islanders could very well miss the playoffs if the lose their next game. may the hockey gods decide the fate on this one!
What he said was true. Watch other fanbases and the atmosphere in their stadiums trump Vancouver's. The Canuck fans only cheers if the team scores, otherwise you can hear a pin drop. Other stadium's have fans waving towels or flags, are loud, are chanting while Canuck fans are on their phones or just sit there.
Woke Bo is the Bud Light of hockey players.
The Canuck ownership is terrible. The worst in the league.
as an Islander fan it is true the Islanders have a very rambunctious fan base that seems to bring more energy than other arenas I see the Islanders play in, that being said it is a fan base that is often quick to turn on the team and the players if things go bad, so while things may seem good when the team is playing good, as soon as the team is playing bad it is a lousy building to play in as the fans are going to boo and just create a miserable atmosphere and there is the issue of the fans not showing up and playing in front of a 1/2 empty building many nights which I get the feeling Horvat could see in the coming years as once the novelty of the new arena wears off and the team will be a bad or a mediocre team which I am guessing they will soon it will be back to the bottom of the league in attendance which the Islanders had for most of the last 30 years or so
Horvat needed to draw attention away from dismal post big bucks contract production and that Islanders are now fighting for a playoff spot. Luckily they’re playing Montreal’s minor league team tonight.
