Willie, Sarah and their dog, Jack Spaniels, continue their biggest adventure yet – leaving their suburban life and moving over the sea to ‘Live The Skye Life’!
In this episode, the Skyelifers rescue some washed up lobster pots, to try and catch some supper in the sea loch. However, the trip out in the boat ends in disaster again – before we even make it to the water!
Thanks & see you in the next video!

So glad you are feeling a little better. Prayers for a full recovery. Love watching your channel. Blessings from USA
Thanks for another great episode,I hope you eventually manage to get out on your boat! Very pleased that Willie is feeling better!
I've had the joy of covid 4 times. It's never easy. I'm still dealing with fatigue from the last time. I pray you get better fast and it doesn't linger. Love watching your channel.
Get well Willkie! Take it easy and REST!
Kids, I can tell you weather forecast is based on past patterns. Aunt Rose taught me to know by sky and wildlife behavior. Go with your gut
So glad to hear you're feeling better and testing negative! Please take care and maybe a little easy for a bit too. You guys do such a lovely job with this channel. Looking forward to all your upcoming adventures!
Unfortunately, as many people find out … the 2 best days of your life are the day you buy your boat and the day you sell it
My Dad always said the best boats are other peoples. As the always need one thing and another……
I have delighted in finding this channel. I so look forward to your videos. Keep up the great work. Feel better, go slow and fully recover. ❤
Keep feeling better Willie. Love your channel ❤
That’s a quad bike tyre, ok as a temporary solution to get your trailer home
But certainly not a permanent solution
It's good that you are feeling better
Finally caught up with all of the videos from this channel. In a world where 'shorts' and TikTok seem to dominate, I am so pleased to have found you guys. This is basically a massive thank you for all of the work that you're doing, getting all of these videos out for us to enjoy. I love every part of them – from your little adventures, to refurbs, to all of the ups and all of the downs.
I am a long admirer of most things Scottish. It basically started with an essay we had to do in school (I believe I was 11) and I chose to do mine on bagpipes. To this day, I have no idea why but there we go. I am originally from Sweden but moved to the north of England in 1998 and have just stayed. Here we are 25 years later and although I love my home country dearly, I can't see myself ever moving back.
So why did I not move to Scotland? I had friends in Sheffield and have now lived in North Lincolnshire for the past seventeen years. I am in a small village and I love it here. Spent a week in the Highlands of Scotland last August and seriously did not want to come back – it is incredible up there, almost too much beauty to be able to cope. However, it's given me a taste for what may come some day.
Until that day, I will live it all through the pair of you and for that alone, I thank you. Sending you all much love and hope that you're all now feeling much better.
/Anna.
Take a sharp knife to cut the lobster pot ropes in case they snag the prop.
Someone once joked that the two best days of a boat owners life are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
Good luck.
So glad to see. You looking better. Love your videos. Donna Michigan USA
Get well soon
We named our daughter for the Isle of Skye.
Hi guys
I am watching your channel from San Diego, California I am from Hamilton Scotland and my family still live there. I just want to tell you that you give me so much joy watching your adventures. My dad would have loved you guys. He was always salvaging things. He even found a boat in three pieces on the Isle of Bute and took it home to make a wee boat just like yours. Thanks for making me smile and giving me comfort when I get homesick.
I am looking forward to watching your future adventures.
Hang in there I've had it like that – it does get better 🙂
Who knew that sheep could swim??? I'm glad you are improving, Willie. I hope you are back to full health soon!
Thank you all so much for your uplifting and inspiring content! Richard certainly is a star – good friends are beyond price! It’s so good to see you on the mend Willie – I had Covid earlier this year, and it wasn’t a picnic! Keep taking care of yourself – you’re in great hands/paws! Till next time!
Glad you are beginning to feel better but listen to your body and rest. You don’t want to lingering but doing too much too soon. You really have had a bad bout of covid.
Thanks for keeping the videos going such an interesting place you live. I have a elderly friend who moved up from Bournemouth to live on the road from Forte William and oban her place over looks the loch and has the same sort of view from her lounge.
Such a beautiful place to live is scotland.
Take care, hot toddy might help😃good Scottish whiskey
🤙🏻👌🏻👍🏻❤🙏🏻 Just finished watching all your video's on this chanel and I LOVE them all! Richard is a real friend indeed ( and in need)☺ Love and greetings, Sara from South Africa🇿🇦
Why not use the spare tyre that’s bolted on the trailer near the towing hitch
wILLIE i WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOU PLAY AND SING " cOME BY THE hILLS". bE CAREFUL ON THAT DARNED BOAT.
Re. the stranded sheep. A wise man once said; 'Sheep know 99 different ways to die, and they're always looking for a hundredth'.
Trials and tribulations of boat ownership.😬
I’ve just found and subscribed to your channel and being a RIB owner, when I saw that large piece of checkerplate on the transom, it rang alarm bells. It’s a common bodge for stiffening up a transom to stop it sagging when the ply core is rotten.
On the plus side 2-stroke yam’s when maintained are very reliable, although not the best when it comes to the environment.
Glad Willie is getting better by the day. I live in Romania and when Covid hit I had a single shot Jansen jab at the surgery in the next village. The restrictions were very strict here and proof of vaccination was required to go anywhere, even the open air Christmas Market in Sibiu! I did have quite a severe reaction though and spent a week in bed 😢 Friends in the village either brought me hot food they had cooked or came to my house and prepared meals for me, washed up the dishes, fed my cats, swept the floor and generally looked after my every need.
I absolutely LOVE your channel and have been watching since it started before your move to Skye. You are such a lovely and talented couple and I also adore Jack Spaniels, who reminds me so much of my late Springer Spaniel, Toby. I’m so sorry for Willie with his particularly unpleasant bout of COVID, but you did a sterling job of editing, Sarah. Take care Willie and take it slowly. 🌈
My friend had covid and lost her senses of taste and smell for a few weeks after she got better. try to rest . Best wishes from Canada.
Call me picky but isn’t there a spare wheel on that boat trailer?
Glad you are on the mend Willie!! Just go with the flow!! If you need a rest, give in!! Mind you, having Covid is my excuse for often having a little nap.😂
so glad your on the mend Willie, Sarah your artwork is amazing… looking forward to seeing if the boat gets to the water… 😉
Visiting Skye. Just spotted Sarah's art at Cafe Cuil in Carbost (here for Talisker) It's weird seeing all these places for real after living vicariously through you guys for 6 months.
Glad you are feeling better, Willie!
Go Richard!! What a great friend.
Life is easier when you have a wonderful neighbour like Richard 😀 Glad to hear you're on the mend, Willie. How fortunate Sarah didn't get sick as well!
Loved the video Guys. Just returned from Turkey, 100+ F every day!! Nightmare!! {got heat stroke: not good}!! Cheers, John.
