Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Trailer Breakdown – Namor Explained | Comic Con 2022

Sometimes hero, sometimes anti-hero, and occasionally outright villain, Namor the Sub-Mariner isn’t just one of Marvel’s most complicated characters. He’s also their first superhero. Created in 1939, Namor quickly made a strong impression thanks to his complicated back story, dramatic eyebrows, and super-short green swim trunks.

And now Namor is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where he’ll be played by Narcos’ Tenoch Huerta. We got our first look at Namor in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer that dropped at Comic-Con, so let’s learn all about the passionate player known as the Sub-Mariner, and why he’s far more than just Marvel’s answer to Aquaman.

  1. Hope Marvel Studios at some point near future will replace Black Panthers sister with other Tachanka Variant from another Earth it would make sense after what Doctor Strange ripped open👍💯

  2. Leave it to MCU to ruin one of my favorite all time characters. Changing his origin is so lame. One of the many who won’t be watching this movie. Create new characters or something stop being creatively lazy and ruining known characters

  3. Just a quick correction on the mesoamerican land region. Mesoamerica is actually primarily Mexico (North America) along with the Yucatan peninsula. There are also some Central American regions that are also part of Mesoamerica.

  4. I'm Aztec from Mexico and It's about dam time they put my people in the Movies. Every race has had their time in the spot light, it's about time my people get in on it. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

  6. Would have been better if this "Namor" was actually an original character for the movie instead of it being a "Mexican Namor". Namor doesn't even sound like a name that originated in that region anyway.

  7. In the trailer the black panther was wearing a black and gold suit which could have been Killmonger.
And he even said when he dies, he wants to be laid to rest in the sea.
And now we know Namor is going to be in the new movie which he probably found killmongers body in the waters and probably brought him back.
And maybe he will fight for Wakanda as redemption for his past actions.

  8. So they chickend out, instead of the skimpy greenscaled speedo, they went for the big bloomers instead. Pansies. I've seen cosplays of the Sub-Mariners at Comic Con more ballsy. Literally.
