Definitely prefer separate vids, just easier that way
Hey guys! Long time watcher/listener. I like, MAINLY listen to games Daily and then watch the streams either live if I can, or later on the vods. This long video situation doesn’t really seem to make sense to me.. I get it might be easier on you guys but, separate videos just makes sense to me and I’d only imagine most people would feel the same. If it stays as 1 long video, I can just see me missing a lot of the vods when I can’t watch live. But love everything you guys are doing! Keep fucking that chicken! 🫶🏻
Power wash sim makes me stress cause I do that at work
So the way I consume Kinda Funny content is by using YouTube Premium to download the video for the specific show I want to hear, and then there's a mix of watching the video if feasible (doing chores like meal prep), or listening to it with the phone screen off in my pocket while out walking the dog/driving.
Extending the podcast to a 4-hour video basically means I'll be missing Games Daily this week unless I'm within WiFi range, because I don't have unlimited data and I'm a miser. 😅
Do not like. Separate videos please. I don't think we need a whole week of this expeiment.
I use YouTube premium and love the YouTube music app with a “podcast player” – I can listen with podcast controls (fast forward 30/rewind 10) in the car, and then when I get home and watch on tv through the YouTube app, my location is synced.
I u feet and why this decision was made, but it’s made listening today hell. I open the podcast and all I hear is the let’s play because you’re live. Hours later on VOD, my location is not saved – because I watched when it was techncially “live” and now I have to scrub to mains my place in the vid.
Don’t prefer this format personally as I don’t know what the boys will be streaming. I tend to binge through the gameplay streams on certain workdays

I usually work through these and I work with my hands while I listen so it’s so much easier to have the vids on YouTube be continuous so I don’t have to keep pulling my phone out potentially getting yelled at by my boss or getting grease all over my phone to keep up.. I feel like time stamps can solve the problem of people who are overwhelmed
A black panther game alone is difficult to picture, now add the EA name to it and you got yourself a recipe for disaster.

Liked the guests today of Lucy and Devonte. Get to see Lucy every blue moon on KF content and she’s always been great and this pairing with Devonte brought about a really great show!
I, too, was gonna look up to see what other news EA put out today, however I forgot that NCAA College Football won’t be reintroduced until next year and that makes me sad lol.
Don’t think we’ll get superhero game fatigue bc so far there hasn’t been enough in recent memory to warrant that feeling. We’ve gotten Spidey 2018, Miles Morales 2020 (and that was shorter), and late 2023 we get Spidey 2. And because it’s Insomniac and they are getting their games out in an unbelievable cadence (vs their peers), I wouldn’t be surprised if we got Wolverine next year or 2025 (prob also some Spidey 2 DLC and Ratchet and Clank sequel).
But besides upcoming Wolverine, Iron Man, Cap America / Black Panther EA mashup, and the new Black Panther game which might be years from now, the only other ones I can think that have come out in the last couple of years is the undersold but underrated Guardians of the Galaxy and Greg Miller’s favorite Marvel’s Avengers. Wait… I did block out Gotham Knights and the upcoming Suicide Squad.
As for the format this week, I don’t like it. But I only consume specific content (KFGD, Gamescast, PS I Love You XOXO, and XCast) and everything else I ‘hide’ or ‘not interested’ to keep my algorithms in check since YT Premium is my main content platform. I literally watched KGFD and only a bit of Post Show (normally I’d listen to it all, but I think Mike’s audio quality was poor so I skipped it) and then just scrubbed the video to the end.
Just my thoughts.

I don't really have a preference either way, but I do question how having it being one big video would affect the channel analytically since each stream would he marketed the same rather than separately.

This doesn’t seem like it’s going to make it very easy to go back and watch streams. Like when trying to catch up on a full playthrough, there won’t be an easy way to find the stream without a title.
I understand that it might help retain more YouTube stream viewers since you don’t have to click on another link or stream but I honestly feel like it just makes the content offering unorganized and daunting to anyone watching on YouTube who many not be familiar. Seeing a 4 hr news video is not as inviting as seeing a 1 1/2 hr video. I hope this experiment doesn’t last very long. Also, let Mike back on the stage!
I vastly prefer two different videos. I watch the games stream a lot more often than I do Games Daily, and I like having the thumb nail and video title letting me know who's playing that day and what they're playing.
All i want is for the post show to get added to streaming platforms. Please keep Games Daily and the gaming streams separate.

Hosts did great but not a fan of the extended format. Also, are KFGD episodes not going to be uploaded on Spotify this week? I noticed today's didn't go up yet and wondering if they'll upload the whole 4 hours onto Spotify or cut out games daily for upload
To sum up what I think is the general sentiment…
Mike’s energy belongs in high fidelity at the table. To the YouTube audience, the post show has become part of the Games Daily experience. The disconnect and drop in quality (via the weaker mic and lag) separates it in a way that makes the segment feel less like essential viewing.
I’m one of those that browse your content here on YouTube. A lot of how I decide what to watch and when is based on the thumbnail previewing the game and guys streaming.
Beyond that, these shows shouldn’t be one massive data hog to scrub through for what we want to consume. Love you guys, but this format, as it seems evident from the comments, is inconveniencing your audience across multiple angles for the sake of a convenience on the production end. If it makes your lives that much easier then do what you have to do, I appreciate having the content at all, but the standard that was set will be missed.
Just tossing my hat in the ring to say that I’d understand if you feel the need to continue combining KFGD with the stream that follows from a production standpoint, BUT I personally am not a fan of the practice as a part of the audience. My listening/viewing experience is only one of thousands and, honestly, probably not the norm for most of the audience, but combining the stream with KFGD does actually prevent me from consuming KFGD in the way that I typically like to. 🤷🏻♂️
That said: love y’all, love your content, and I’ll adjust and figure it out on my end if this change is a significant help on your end.

I think the majority of folks on here also have the same opinion….I think the streams and the show should be different. I’d love to see the post show added to KFGD audio, at least for us Patreon kids, but beyond that, this may not be the best idea. But then again, I’m not watching live. shrug

I miss 2 videos. I download ganes daily as a video on my youtube premium then listeb to it/watch it my own time at work where I have no connection. Having to download a whole 4 hour stream not only fucks over my internet but also takes up far too much space on my phone. I hope this is a freak experiment and not the new norm
This whole 4hr video thing instead of the vids being split up could be very damaging to KF's you tube revenue. This long of a video will affect retention and click-through and affect the algorithm big time and less ppl will be served your videos. I would go vack the other way. As a huge kinda funny fan i would hate for u awesome ppl to lose out on any potential revenue.
Doesn't matter either way, impossible to watch nothing but screaming regardless of the format.
I am yet another vote for keeping Games Daily and the game stream separate videos, it works much better for the way I consume your content. Having to stop the video manually when it transitions and having to search through previous, unfinished KFGDs to figure out what the boys are streaming seems like a significant inconvenience.
If it doesn't negatively impact y'all in some way, I would not be opposed to having it all one video under Live with the two separate segments uploaded individually for VOD watchers like myself. Love you all, keep killing the game!

Personally this new idea of keeping Games Daily and the following stream in a single video, really doesn't work for me. I subscribe to the Kinda Funny Games Daily playlist in such a way that it goes into my podcast app feed, much like the official podcast feeds work, so now I'm downloading 4 hour videos instead of 1.5, and it contains 75% of content that I'm not looking for as part of my daily podcast listening. I like that the streams are there as separate videos if I'm in the mood, but that's usually not the case. Please change it back!
