What happens when you do the ending after doing the platinum?
the platinum isn't really harder, per say. It's just more grindy and tedious depending on any content you may have missed. Portraits, soaks, curios, seeds. But congrats. This absolutely should be GOTY. no question
Can someone explain what the "Platinum" mode means? also how do you fight those Four heavenly kings? do you fight them after beating erlang?

You don't need all the skandhas to fight Erlang, you just need to fight all the loongs and complete all the secret areas
Re: the title, it absolutely is not. not remotely. its not harder to get platinum than ANY Souls games as far as I'm aware, which are all much longer games that have 10x as many missables hidden behind things that are NEVER explained, or have required mutually exclusive endings.
With a bit of farming you can get every achievement in Black Myth Wukong by the end of the Ch. 5 secret area in NG+ and it will have taken less time than a full playthrough of most Dark Souls games–and a lot shorter than Elden Ring. The longest part would be farming for drops from plants or if you get stuck on a boss for an unusually long time.

The toughest bosses are Soaks and Seeds.
Gotta be easy on the game. It’s their first time making a game anywhere near this caliber. They did insanely good crushing multiple all time records with it and less than a quarter the budget of god of war and elden ring.
