Honestly the new big bad should have been Biolante. Since they had already started using Kaiju parts to make new villians Like Ghidora's brain in MechaGodzilla. That was cool but why didnt they just go with mechagodzilla's actual origins? Where he was made from the skeleton of the 40's OG Godzilla? That was one of the most metal things I had seen in a Godzilla movieXD Could have been done easily since Godzilla wasn't exactly an unknown quantity from the beginning of the new series.
