This is one of the greatest sequels. From the epic and existential nature of their quest – coming back from death to protect their girls, to all the film references, to some great cinematography as they defeat death, its a clever movie pretending to be dumb.
Bill & Ted III should have been about grunge stopping the world from getting better and ended with a grand battle against Pearl Jam.
Death is played by a character actor who is in everything. The prez in Iron Man 3, father of the 2 girls in the Green Mile, and One of the 3 main villains of Die Hard 2. To see him play “silly” in this movie, (as opposed to his standard “stressed out” characters) I give his performance as a meh.
Jim Martin from Faith No More – with Prophet Carlin & The South African villain from Lethal Weapon 2. (“Diplomatic Immunity!!!!”
Murtaugh: “Has just been revoked”)
Shows the care this movie received. Do not watch the 3rd. It is a bait&switch where you ask yourself? “This is not what I want. What is going on?
After watching the 3rd, this movie seems like high art.
Bill's grandma was actually played by the actor who plays Bill himself. Something I never realized until years after I saw this movie.
Blue Oyster Cult: Don’t Fear the Reaper. Great track.
Good reaction understand why you say that I used to love this movie a lot but now after I watch it with you again I see it’s not as good as I thought and I know you don’t wanna give the third a chance of seeing this but something about the third one is I think better because just something about Keanu Reeves you know doing the movie for a friend going back and doing the third film And he just finished John Wick four and they said you’re beyond this. You don’t have to do Bill and Ted anymore. You’re a big star now don’t do it or ruin your career and he said no I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna finish it off and do with my friend and that’s just saying so great about that to me. I’m sorry they’re just is Reeves that much more He just a good guy, a loyal friend and I appreciate him more for that. Thanks for the fun. Oh by the way, I know you probably don’t wanna ignore me after that but Star Trek is excellent. I think you will appreciate it. Give it a shot until next time.
Older Millenial, yes some stores had payphones inside, and even until around 2012 there was at least one in many truck stops.
Joss said he only played the villian for money. He was ashamed of his performance
U need to see the 3rd one. Bill & Ted face the music!!!
"Should I watch Star Trek?" Yeah, you might like it. It gets this reputation as a nerdy, niche thing (the fanbase might be part of that perception) but it was really mainstream back in the day. The most daunting thing is just figuring out where to start, but your audience can help you out with that. When Cassie / Popcorn in Bed decided to try it out, the patrons selected a couple episodes as a sample platter. You could do something like that before starting the movie (you don't even need to have seen the series to get the movies in terms of plot information or anything, just that thing of "these characters/concept is a mainstay" like The Simpsons or Bob's Burgers when their movies came out.
OR you could just skip the old stuff and just do the trilogy that kicked off in 2009 and see how you like those. They're more like MCU-ish action adventure movies.
No one has mentioned 70s Blaxploitation Queen Pam Grier plays Ms. Wardroe? For shame.
and some day you,ll do part 3
I really hope you get to watch Dracula with Keanu for Halloween.
Gotta react to the third one. Face the Music was definitely fun.
William Sadler (Grim Reaper) was in Die Hard 2 as Col. Stuart. He was the man doing naked yoga in the room at the start of the movie while watching the news.
It's definitely far worse than the original. But the recent one was weirdly wholesome ngl.
Admittedly, as a kid, when this came out, I didn't like it. I loved the first one so much, it would have been hard for it to live up, and also I was probably too sensitive for all the death and hell stuff 😊 But as an adult I think it's pretty fantastic.
I agree. I was excited to see this when it was originally in theaters. It was ok but I was overall disappointed.
There's a third one
Wow, Rufus is played by the late great George Carlin please watch some of his stand up the man opened the eyes of many while still making your sides hurt laughing
Try to get into Star Trek? Try? Do, or do not. There is no try.
Yep. I just mixed peanut butter and chocolate.
In 20 questions, a popular first set of questions are, are you an animal, mineral or vegetable? Narrows down the search. That he guessed tank right after is just to show how linked these two are. No one would get that in 2 guesses.
Yeah, Bogus Journey is not the best in the franchise.
You really should have smoked the devil's lettuce for this one Ash it's fantastic
Keanu is in the real band Dogstar
Man if she didn't like looking at the aliens in this movie I don't think she will wanna watch 'Ernest Scared Stupid' that troll is kinda scary lookin xD
That guy singing gibberish with the black hat at the Battle of the Bands the leader singer of PRIMUS, singing the last line of their song "Tommy The Cat".
It's a real band, a real GOOD song, and he's singing, "say baby do you wanna get down with me. Say baby do you wanna get down by my side (X2) SAY BABAAY!"
