The Bilbunya Dunes, located some 80 kms north east of Israelite Bay are amongst the highest Sand Dunes in Australia. The dunes reach up to a stunning 100 meters high. Nestled between the cliffs of the Wylie Scarp and the beach pounded by the waves of the Great Southern ocean in the Great Australian Bight these Dunes are an impressive sight to see.
Access to the Bilbunya Dunes is via 4WD only and is a very remote place with rough tracks and no services.
The tracks in the area are dry weather only as rain can make them impassable especially on the salt pans.

Filmed in December 2020 the video shows the Bilbunya Dunes in the Nuytsland Nature Reserve.
