I think the rules of engagement have changed. This is not really about contract law anymore. The 2 lawyers hired by Mama and now her minions are experienced in hostile takeovers, mergers and acquisitions – not entertainment law. Therefore it’s all about having a powerful backer who will support a hostile takeover. Back room negotiations, rumour mongering, calling in favours etc, not following the “niceties” of the law per se is the order of the day. Honestly, I didn’t yet watch the part of “were bb really the most popular boyband” but it is very on fire. Before knowing kpop fully, in 2018, I had heard only of two names, bts and exo. While at the same time in kpop scene bp were also a thing and even a huge one, multiple records for the most watched mv in first 24h apart from bts themselves. But.. I didn’t hear of them at all, seems like general public didn’t know them even tho they had such records… I bet yge is overdoing their mediaplay and shady connections, too much of numbers manipulation, can’t sell out concerts with so many billions on YouTube… This is ridiculous how far yt alone has gone into “faking till making” bp popular. 1b views on dance practice yet no one still watches their concerts, be for real. I think the same thing was with many yge acts and I don’t consider it fair, just or pure.
I’m not a bp hater, I like some of their songs and I’m fine with their popularity, it’s just numbering aren’t numbering right and it is distasteful for me to both listen to bts who got a clean biography and then a group involved in so much manipulation to be seen as someone worthy of the same level of popularity as bts
If I was a parent of anyone in oldjeans I would be so embarrassed I’d file a case of demanding this kid to NEVER be legally considered as my kid. It’s a cringe I would have to live for the rest of my life no matter how far away I’d try to run away from it. At this point they need not only a new name and a new company but a new life, this one is failed as hell
I don't have any sympathy anymore for NJ's maybe if they wake up and realize how they've been manipulated, how they contributed to a lot of other artists pain accusing them of things they didn't do. I may have given them a lot of understanding in the very beginning but here we are almost a full year into this mess and they have showed a lot of disrespectfulness & arrogance. In fact 1 if not 2 of the members are acting like narcissist themselves like MHJ mini me's who look up to her as an example of how to get what you want. Until, they wake up and humble themselves I no longer feel sorry for them they have so far shown no signs of empathy for others or regret for their actions. Maybe they will in future but I can't rule out they only will regret it if it ruins their careers for good it won't be about regretting hurting many other people.
Just seeing the headlines but ignoring all those drama. Want something positive —-watch any run BTS episodes. They always make me laugh & definitely a mood changer.❤💜
