BACK STORY
Deep beneath the irradiated wasteland of post-apocalyptic Boston lies Vault 111, a cryogenic facility designed to preserve its inhabitants in stasis until the world above became habitable once more. Among the frozen survivors was a young scientist named Black Heart, who had volunteered for the experiment in hopes of ensuring the survival of humanity.
However, when the Great War erupted and the bombs fell, Vault 111 sealed its doors, trapping Black Heart and his fellow residents in suspended animation. Centuries passed in the blink of an eye as the world outside descended into chaos and ruin, until one fateful day when the cryogenic systems malfunctioned, awakening Black Heart from his frozen slumber.
Emerging into a world vastly different from the one he had known, Black Heart found himself alone in a desolate wasteland overrun by mutated creatures and marauding bands of raiders. But he soon discovered that he was no longer entirely human himself; the centuries spent in cryo-sleep had triggered a dormant gene in his DNA, transforming him into a vampire.
At first, Black Heart struggled to come to terms with his newfound abilities and the primal thirst for blood that consumed him. But as he ventured out into the wasteland, he realized that his vampiric nature granted him a unique advantage in this harsh new world. With heightened senses and superhuman strength, he could easily outmaneuver and overpower the dangers that lurked around every corner.
Haunted by memories of his former life and the loved ones he had lost to the ravages of war, Black Heart wandered the wasteland in search of answers and purpose. Along the way, he encountered other survivors struggling to eke out a living amidst the ruins, forming tentative alliances and forging bonds born of shared hardship.
But as Black Heart delved deeper into the mysteries of his vampiric heritage, he uncovered dark secrets hidden within the vault where he had been born anew. It soon became clear that he was not the only one to have been transformed by the experiments conducted within Vault 111, and that sinister forces were at play behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, in the ruins of what was once known as Whispering Hills, a town shrouded in perpetual fog and haunted by the tormented souls of the dead, the streets were overrun by grotesque mutations caused by failed experiments and the spread of a viral outbreak. Among the undead, Black Heart found himself both predator and prey, needing to feed on blood to sustain his existence while constantly evading the ravenous hordes of zombies.
Armed with his newfound powers and driven by a thirst for justice, Black Heart embarked on a quest to unravel the truth behind his transformation and confront the shadowy figures pulling the strings from the shadows. Along the way, he would face countless challenges and make difficult choices that would test his humanity and determine the fate of the wasteland itself.
