The Farris family of Alpharetta, Georgia was both very wealthy and extremely dysfunctional.

When their patriarch, 58 year-old Gary Farris was found dead, his remains set aflame in the burn pile on the family’s property, the rest of the family began pointing fingers… at each other.

Over the following years the family’s dirty laundry was aired for the world to see. The alleged killer was put on trial only to accuse her own son of the murder.

  1. Affairs, suspected poisoning, total lack of care and respect, why didn't this man divorce her? I hope his "kids" had to get off the tit finally. Poor guy. Probably whole family loaded him up.

  2. These self-righteous people. Both Chris and Scott are divorced and have new women in their lives. One daughter has a husband in jail, the other daughter needed her mom to rescue her from an abusive man, and Big Daddy had an affair. Sounds like Melody spent most of her life protecting and bailing out her family from their own indiscretions.

  3. OMG! This POS is a true psychopath!! Those kids were enabled, for sure, and losers. But, to blame the son after she was convicted…. Whew!! She could have taken the stand or produced evidence to support her accusations but she didn’t. Disgusting.

  4. The defense team hanging everything on those theatrics with the 300lb is hilarious. I move stuff all the time that's 3x my size. Especially easy when it's downhill and you can roll it. If there's no incline, I just put it on a sheet or rug or flat pieces of cardboard, ffs. It's not rocket science.

  5. Kevin, you said “Columbus,” in your narrative reference, but Melody had said Scott’s gun or guns were stolen in Columbia, if memory serves. I wasn’t sure if you would want to know/edit/correct.
