  1. I love that they're playing the old hits on the retirement tour. "Two Grumpy Antisemites Weekly" would be the name of this podcast if truth-in-advertising were the law.

Very much looking forward to Mickey's 90th birthday party next year! Maybe Lou Reed will play?

  2. "Attrition is a game that in the long run you would expect Russia to win". Is that the logic by which you would have expected the US to win the Vietnam War, or the Soviets or US to win in Afghanistan?

  3. I really enjoyed hearing these two gentlemen interact with each other. Great debates and disagreements, all approached with a very robust sense of humor. Damn shame, i can't think of another podcast like it.

  4. I've been keeping eye on the gambling odds, and Trump overtook Biden this week as the current betting favorite (a month ago it was Biden).
Also interesting: Newsom has surpassed Ron DeSantis as third favorite, and RFK Jr. has never had better odds than Michelle Obama.

  5. FDR weakened the populist demagogues Huey Long and Father Coughlin by taking away some of their issues, adopting some of their more popular economic policies. E.g., WPA, SS, wealth tax et cetera. That helped isolate them, drove them further to the extremes and alienated some of their supporters. Biden's failure to address the border is giving Trump a big issue to exploit. It's amazing to me that he and his people don't realize this. In order to beat Trump you can't just call all of his supporter racist extremists and dismiss their concerns. That's not what FDR did. You need to break some of it off. If Trump wins, the border will be one reason.

  6. The fact that trump is a monster actually helps him with a large part of our population. Hillary pretty much nailed it when she called them deplorable. The race was always going to be close. As for not empathizing with republicans……wtf cares??

  7. You guys detail a laundry list of potential replacements of Biden and don’t even MENTION Kennedy? Sure, he’s anathema to the Democrats but that’s more of a commentary on the party than it is about the candidate. He’s a serious candidate and you completely ignored him. Congratulations- you have both completely swallowed the corrupt system you appear to provide commentary on. I’m not going to bother fixing the grammar in the previous sentence as a token of how my respect for you has tanked.

  8. C Columbus murdered and tortured millions of Amerindians, He was Christian / Catholic / White. America's politicians built statues commemorating this event.. Not in history books in America or South America. Amerindians didn't matter in 1500 and they don't matter now…We're the good guys.
