I despise RTS games but had fun watching Splat!
But I wanted to see the giant spider bot!!! I guess I will just have to download the game 🤷♂️
I can't think of a better RTS to be infuenced by but this isn't "inspired or infuenced" by Total Annihilation is a 100% Total Rip-Off, right down to the unit designs and animations. The music is the only change and the original music was much more fitting. TA is still available and as good as ever over on GOG for $4.99 if you don't want to support direct IP plajarism.

Splat, this is a remake of Total Annihilation. That was my favorite RTS back in the early 2000s. Apparently they even still sell it on Steam.
This is supreme Commander 2 (and 1) and hopefully with the adjusted AI….but still, this looks like sup com 2

Splat sounds like he never played Supreme Commander especially with his poor build choices. 😅
You should have like 10 factories churning nonstop and face smash against the enemy while you build up your economy and teching up.

When you install the game there's a checkbox for "run beyond-all-reason", I didn't know I had to be in good shape to play this game!

This is Total Annihilation: REMASTERED in a nutshell. Art, concept and implementation details are like 1:1, unit names a different though, but some maps have same words in some of their names even! 😀 I'm not sure how they plan to earn money, because this is "looks" a straight rip-off in terms of IP 🤔

I hate There Are Billions but loved Starship Troopers Terran Command, even that they have similar concepts, but zombies are to generic, and I love Verhoeven Starship Troopers, I have experiences playing RTS, mostly Command and Conquer, the older ones, and Command and Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3.

SC2 mixed with C&C
Although i liked very much the Supreme Commander and Planetary Annihilation i see very little to differentiate from the formula. I hope they throw some interesting ideas to stir the genre around a bit.
