  2. This one is for kelly, maybe she already knows this and it's why she hates teasers and loves underdogs. And if she doesn't know this then she may go on a teaser protest for life lol

for simplicity's sake, historically the spread in the nfl only comes into play 15% of the time. the favorite is supposed to win 50%, the underdog wins 35% of the time. obviously the underdog wins more on smaller spreads

but what are people saying when they bet a teaser? they like the favorite, but don't like them to cover, obviously otherwise they would just bet them on the spread.

but this is the least likely occurrence. if the favorite doesn't cover, the next likely scenario is that the underdog wins. betting that the favorite will win but not cover only happens 15% of the time (it's lower this year so far) and now you are bringing another game into it which only increases variance.

if you don't LOVE the favourite, either bet the underdog or stay away from the game
    vice-versa, this could mean that
if you HATE the underdog and think there is no way they win, then just bet the favourite on the spread instead of the teaser which introduces more variance

statistically speaking therefore, teasers are illogical

the only thing is whether or not the teaser itself is profitable, which obviously the wong teasers have proven to be

you need each wong teaser leg (two team) to hit 72% of the time or something. well how often in those legs did you actually NEED those teaser points? was it worth the risk of adding in another team into the equation which increases variance? as mentioned, you only needed those points 15% of the time.

sure wong teasers may be profitable? but by how much? maybe just betting the spread or underdogs could be even more profitable?

maybe wong teasers have been a fools errand this entire time misdirecting us from greater value?

maybe instead of blindly betting wong teasers, the correct play is to blindly bet underdogs in games where a wong teaser applies?

obviously in a low spread-low total game, why not bet the underdog? their chance to win is probably pretty good and not really calculable and you are getting plus money odds. and in TD spread-low total games, the low total implies that the underdog will stick around long enough in the game and maybe there's more value on the underdog

so someone needs to run stats on what exactly happens in those wong teaser games

    who knows

  9. Holy shit. 0-3 on best bets AGAIN. That's 0-6 the last 2 weeks. This is your profession right? I swear you all are guessing. Jags over Giants? Why? Broncos over Jets? Why? Just because? And Buccs have been GARBAGE.
