the fact that you need to give up a meg and the three shark hunt fish to get access to the only good rods in the update and the kraken ruined the update for me

To be fair, if Seraphic Rod is technically a dev rod made public, then it only being for lvl 1'000 players was fair (I guess) because with it you don't have to worry about fighting fish anymore.

Kraken rod gives a random mythic/legendary/exotic that you have IN YOUR BESTIARY, not any in-game, so if you have caught Kraken, you could get a Kraken, but if you haven't caught it, there's 0 chance u can get one from the 50 catch passive.
