  1. I think people need to learn there is a big difference when it comes to consistent decks with a high potential and inconsistent decks with insane potential.. when your in random cue matching all sorts of decks your inconsistent decks can feel great I'm sure.. but during comps where people are playing well built, consistent decks they will get exposed.

  2. @Hooglandia Pokemon Pocket i piloted your rogue marshadow duck deck and the reason why it wins because it's pretty much impossible to brick because there are only basics and then they are also low cost and high damage as well as low retreat cost that gives it great tactical versatility by being able to swap and switch up strategies on the fly. I like the deck. i was thinking about trying to find a way to put budding expeditioner for more time to get tauros online if you have to start with it.🤔🤨🧐

  3. Came for the high level gameplay and stayed for ranting over the bad takes in chat 🤣. I'm assuming 3 basics is still a good breakpoint for running 2 pokeballs or you wouldn't do it? Obviously it can feel bad to draw all your basics before a pokeball but I would rather do the statistically correct play.

  4. Machamp is my favourite Pokémon in the game atm, and is my go to deck for fun and decent winrate. I also thought leaf was a great addition to the deck, but hadn’t considered the consistency the fossils could provide. Looking forward to pulling my second aerodactyl ex to try this out! I’ve annoyingly gotten exactly one copy of each Ex in the new set so hoping to find a second too. I’m sure I’ll see it in the video, but I’m curious how it feels not having a baby marowak / new prime ape for the games where you go first.

  5. Patton Oswalt said it best:

People say “you have to respect everyone’s opinion”. NO. YOU. DO. NOT. You should /acknowledge/ everyone’s opinion and then you can say “that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

  6. Do you think running the one Marshadow one aero ex is comparable to the two aero ex that you run in this deck? I plan to try yours now, but I had some success with Marshadow, but it can fall short like all things.

  7. I think one reason players feel so strongly about Misty and Celebi is that the occasional ridiculous outcome is something concrete they can latch onto and feel entitled to complain about. "My opponent cast Psydrive two turns in a row" and "My opponent used Circle Circuit for 90 on turn 2" don't inspire Reddit hateposts as much as "My opponent attacked for 350 damage with Celebi" or "My opponent flipped 5 heads in a row with Misty" even though they're stronger and more consistent in practice.

  8. I couldn't help but think about the number of basic pokemon to pokeballs here.
U have 3 basics, of which one is guaranteed and u have 2 pokeballs. Technically to set up machamp, u just need 1 pokeball ( starter basic and pokeball).
Naturally, if u draw a basic, then one of the pokeballs become a dead draw, drawing both makes both of them dead.
I wonder how often the pokeball becomes a dead draw here, and if I could run a deck with 1 pokeball?
I presume consistency will take a hit, but I want to know by how much.
Gosh I hate doing probability and stats though aaahhhh

  9. 17:15 i havent played witcher at all, but from my friends who like the lore, they did say that Ciri cannot be doing witcher stuff because of blood and stuff? I am not sure, but they were talking about how it does affect the lore a lot if she was able to use witcher stuff because she was nevee able to use them in the first place.
They dont mind her being the protagonist, but they were skeptical about her using witcher sigils and all I think.
Take this comment with a grain of salt because its half knowledge from my end

  10. “Celebi is good, people are just metagaming to counter it” reminds me of “if red card is bad why are you playing around it?” If a deck is good against the field, and good against Celebi… isn’t that just called “a better deck”?

  11. 2 star machamp and 2 star aerodactyl look so damn good… trading can't come soon enough man, I have so many 2 stars and 2 star full arts of cards I never use… really hope they make trading as simple as possible and done tie obnoxious timegating to it… I wanna be able to trade a ton on day one

  12. think the issue with celebi and why so many people are underperforming with specifically that deck is because it looks really good on paper, i was definitely excited to get my hands on the cards for the deck until i played like 5 games and realized what a stinker it is. It's like when you're a kid playing pokemon for the first time and you think that calm mind or dragon dance are the strongest moves in the game- they are conceptually, but the execution tends to be a little shaky at best

  13. Awesome vid thank you once again sir!

I had come up with a deck trying to combine these two, but played it once and was like – yeah idk about this……
good to see you pilot it and how you constructed it. i really like hitmonlee and did not have him in there when i built it and i think its a huge plus by itself.

  14. Great content. Love your decks. Unlucky on the tourney today, but can't wait to catch more in the future. Love hearing your plays verbalized in a competitive format.

  15. You mentioned you are looking for specific 2 stars. I would highly recommend looking into wonder pick god pack groups. I've probably spent less than 20% what you have. But have substantially more 2 stars. Double leaf took about 8 wp for me to get 2 of thanks to those groups.

  16. This deck is super fun! I submitted a machamp deck as a viewer deck a little while ago but this is easily my favorite way to play machamp now. Aerodactyls ability is actually really satisfying to play with with tricky Sabrina's or forcing up a basic after killing whatever in the active. Machoke is actually solid in a pinch. Hitmonlee soloed a gardevoir for me today while the opponent Frontlined a mew who could only chip away at my machamp on the bench.

All in all, chefs kiss for fun effective deck.

  17. I don’t play tournaments, so maybe I am off. But, I’ve played a metric F ton of battles against Celebi. New Gyro/Ninja decks absolutely poop on it. I can’t remember a single loss to it when I run that deck. Even on less than optimal draws. I use a variety of decks and it only seems to win if it draws well and I am just testing a deck and draw/roll very poorly.
It was one of those decks people thought would be unbeatable on drop but it’s clear that it is very beatable – especially against anything that can one shot it… which isn’t hard when it’s base max HP is only 130 for 2 points.
