  1. I don't see the point of this gun? What's it tailored to? Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't fit the IDPA CCP box. Would have been great to get a competition oriented CCP gun with an external hammer. But as is… why? A mini race gun for carry? I'd pass.

  2. DA/SA with decocker would have been an instant buy. I already have the Shadow 2 and I couldn't agree more about how good it is. The manual safety without a decocker is a deal breaker though. I really hope they offer that option in the future.

  3. I was super excited to hear about this pistol until I saw that it is not available anywhere for sale. I suspect that it will come out at a ridiculous expensive price and not generally available anywhere except on gunbroker. That way the LGS can claim they don’t have stock yet put it up for sale on GB to gig the public. Sorry for being so pessimistic but I’m trying to keep it real. My recommendation is to get the regular Shadow 2 as it is an outstanding pistol. You also have the option of getting a CZ P-01 and send it in to get an optics cut. Likewise that is an awesome pistol as well.

  4. No firing pin block, no problem. The series 70 1911 doesn’t have one and people carry those everyday. No decocker, no problem. I’m not aware of a double action revoler that has one and you can decock those. Learn how to operate your firearm. People have AD’s even with all those safety features.

  5. I disagree. There is no reason anyone with a brain would carry this gun over guns in the same category as the Glock 43x or Sig P365. They are lighter slimmer and carry as many rounds. I think it was silly to try and turn a competition gun into a carry gun. Way to big and heavy.

  6. I really want one but I wish it had a decocker. I have a shadowline compact that is very similar and the only reason I don’t carry it is having to manually lower the hammer or carry like a 1911. The safety is not as easy to manipulate as on a 1911 and I would be nervous that in a stressful situation I would miss the safety, does anybody know if cz makes a larger ambi safety lever? I am left handed and my full size shadow 2’s right side safety is kind of small too which isn’t an issue since I wouldn’t carry it. So for now I carry my cz75 compact pcr

  7. So the only way to fire it in DA is if you had a light strike in SA or you’d have to let the hammer go forward on a live round using the trigger? I don’t really understand the DA aspect of it, without the decocker.

  8. This gun is not a carry gun. No firing pin block so literally no one would recommend carrying it hammer down, and it doesn’t have decocker. It will have the same issues as the full size with not being very drop safe due to the things listed above, and it’s not as shootable as the full size Shadow2…..this gun has no purpose. This will be just like the full size, basically relegated to 3 gun/IDPA. They should just make an Optic Ready P-01 so this idea can actually be realistic.

  9. About time! the only reason I chose a Staccato over the Shadow was weight.

Now, why do so many people say steel or Alloy? Steel is iron with a mix of other elements t become steel. Without the other elements, it is just iron.
Alu. frames for firearms is also an alloy, but of alu. and other elements. You would not want a frame of pure iron or Alu. both are soft and very weak. In our frames, oth are Alloys.

Odd how Alu, became known as Alloy in the Gun World and Steel became known as none alloy. Totally false!
