Looks like it is not the end, at least not the complete end. Survivors means hope.
ehh , appears decent written buuuuut i cant help to feel a bit iffy about ''this is supposed to take place on stellar distances , but x group will atempt landings in just a few days'' first of all the tech and hardware needed for that kind of travle would with ease make weapons possible that make it simpler to eradicate those bombarding a planet then engage in rescue and evac operations , specially since the ones bombarding the planet could not posses tech at that lvl to or the ground side would never gotten a chance to send the data packages to the probes as they been killed in moments :/ , its like if you have a carrier group next to a small iland of natives being bombarded by a 17th century ship of the line fleet , sure you can take choppers fly in low and try rescue the natives buuut that runs the risk some fluke shoots hurt your choppers , while you with ease can obliderate the wooden ships with ease and near complete loses for the foes and land marines on the iland to gun down any fluke survivors trying to swim ashore.
