  4. The panic in the streets had been unimaginable. The fact that the Elves did not have hugely populated cities helped them this day. The queen stood before the window, overlooking the beauties that she and her race had created, the perfect harmony between nature and elf. Her general, a man that has served her faithfully for over 800 years stood behind her tall and proud, his thoughts hidden under a mask of duty. The last man, the last woman, the last child had evacuated the capital, with over an hour to spare. She looked at the sky, where her doom was to come and sighed.
    "I suppose you wonder why I do not surrender, even though I know we are going to lose. I suppose you want to know why I have given the order to evacuate the city and yet I remain here. It's not for you to know. What is for you to know is that I ORDER you to evacuate with the rest of our people!"
    The general did not reply and stood silent and unmoving before his queen, as if he was a statue.
    "Did you not hear-"
    "I heard you my queen. I just ignored your order."
    It was the first time he had talked ever since he was informed by his queen of the new weapon the humans had deployed. He knew, as his queen knew, that this was the end of their empire as it has known itself. And he knew, as his queen knew that the new queen, that has been fighting for more… elven treatment towards the human slaves, a young girl that has been ridiculed for over 400 years now, would be the perfect replacement to lead the elven nation to the new era. The elven queen was red in the face as she took in a deep breath.
    "You will obey my order, general or-"
    "My queen. We are no longer needed. Let the relics of a bygone era rest."
    His quite words was like a frozen bucket over her whole body. Her shoulders suddenly slumped down as she looked out of the window again, at the beauty that was about to be destroyed.
    "I cannot surrender."
    "I know."
    "Let's hope this will be enough to end the conflict forever."
    "They are humans. They will forget their hatred in 200 years or more."
    "Were we so greedy that we forgot simple decency?"
    "I believe so, yes."
    She heard the sound of something falling from high altitude towards them. She turned to her general one last time and opened her mouth.

    The elven capital was destroyed alongside all of its inhabitants, in the final act of the Reconquest. The elven queen and her high staff were cursing humanity even to the last second, even as the atomic bomb fell on the palace and annihilated her completely. The elven princess Kirilathianacin that was exiled from her home years ago took up the reigns of the fractured kingdom and signed the surrender of her people. Thus humanity avenged itself for the thousand years of slavery.

  7. We never call science a religion or a God but reality and true of the world and how things work, truth and understanding. Religion needs blind faith, science needs undenying facts and truth that can be proven correct over and over again with no contradictory

  9. That was super cool. Wish there were more stories similar to it.
    Does anyone know of stories where humanity has a God? And other races in the universe have Gods as well?
    Preferably a multi chapter story, but I suppose once offs are fine too.

  11. You see my friend here's the despairingly massive difference between magic and science, magic is limited by one's will and Imagination however science is only limited by The Thin Line called "What the universe can be made do."🙂
