Someone watched Babylon 5….
I had heard this story from Agro Squirrel Narrates channel. I couldn't remember the name of it and now you give it to me. Thank you for this gift.
I think they found the manhole cover. the one we shot into space by accelerating it by detonating a nuclear bomb below it.
Edit: I was wrong.
Love voyager stories
I would what happened to the record
This is such a great story! Good to see it narrated again!
I guess we forgot where our cradle world were… I can see us paying almost any price to get such knowledge back. To find our Mother Gaia.
Welcome back V'ger, at least we found you in this timeline
Man i need more this should be a voll story 😮
For humanity to find the key to Mother Earth would be historic enough. For humanity to give a lowly scrapper captain access to a planet builder would pale in comparison.
I picked it out early.
Still awesome.
Very awesome.
For the algorithm 👍 ❤️ ✨️
Welcome home Voyager.
Love these stories. Just shared on the tweet thing.
I love the grumbling thing. We've meeting 2 discus why we were having so many meetings. 😀
I felt my whole pody twinkle as I let out an audible gasp.
The realization hit once I heard the name.
Voyager's first mission was to go and tell "Here we are" and now after all this time, it can finally say "Let's go home"
Anyone else remember Amalgam Comics ?
So basically they were OMACS.
Holy smoke ! Voyager? The, not one of ? What can i say? They sure knew how to make'em back in the day!
The golden records that were place on the Voyagers were designed to survive at least a billion, and up to 5 billion years in space. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5BG5nGmGFQ
V''ger always points the way home 🙂
For The Author – Very Well Done.
It’s been a long time…
… between then and here
Miren yo desgraciadamente solo se español y me encantan estos relatos narrados, lo dejo como idea, si tradicen y los suben tambien en español se comerian una gran parte del mercado.
Data corruption be like: -_-
'You can never go home.' That is what the sagessay. An oldp roverb. A thing meant more to describe how both that place and you as a person will have changed between then and now.
That was as true even for a species that have ascended to the throne of what others would consider Godhood. Beings whom not just uplifted and guarded the younger races but had manufactured the worlds several evolved from.
Yet….
Who wouldn't be extatic and overjoyed at even the faint hope of finding the home you grew up in? To know that even through the years of abuse and neglect it was still out there, and if time were especially kind hearted maybe whoever lived there now had taken better care of it than you had when you left.
I wish Voyager appeared more often.
Well read
Someone watched Babylon 5 😀
The Voyager 1 Space probe!
I knew within 30 seconds it was voyager. I'm a mega simp for hfy stories with it lol. It's just so crazy to think that we've got two pieces of humanity barreling through the void of space. The pair will likely outlive humanity. I can only pray that one of them would get this same treatment. That even if we're lone there's still a piece of us left. A sign basically saying, "Humanity Was Here." That we had enough ingenuity, comradery, and technological advancement to tag our corner of the galaxy. ❤
A vorlon? Lol Kos would like to discuss why he's in this story instead of Babylon 5
Figured it was Voyager by its description earlier, was holding my breath for the human to show up and ask for navigation since then because of the title. A beautifully rounded piece. Congratulations to the author
That last bit when she said it's name is Voyager gave me goosebumps
Its sad, voyager's bits are slowly giving out due to the age and eventually it will continue to speed up and will be lost. Till we find it again and play its record
Excellent job Net, as usual.
I'm glad you liked my story.
Jass just became the richest private individual ever
Is there a part 2?
I spontaneously started crying at the end, I knew what the reveal was likely to be but still it hammered home
As soon as I heard the description of the concave dish antenna, I knew what it was. I didn't expect the humans to be the oldest species, though. I guess I should have known from the title, though.
Very well presented.
I also heard Agro squirrel read this story, it was just as good the second time.
The ending gave me chills!
A wanderer found,
Tears for a mother yet lost,
This new journey Home.
