BEST GRAPHICS AND POST FX SETTINGS + GAME OPTIMIZATION – Escape from Tarkov (0.12.12)

In today’s video, I am going to be going over my ultimate recommendation for graphics settings within Escape from Tarkov in 12.12 in order to help reduce stutters, improve FPS and also make the game look much better. Not only that but this video will give a great insight on why my game runs so smooth even on the lighthouse map which is, at the moment, the most unoptimized map. I will also go over what Post FX settings I use in order to make enemies more visible both inside and outside.

About the game:
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.

With each passing day the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others. Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals – “Scavs” flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.

The players will have to experience living in the skin of one of the mercenaries who survived the initial stage of the Tarkov conflict. After choosing one of the sides – USEC or BEAR – the player’s character starts to make his way out of the city. Tarkov is sealed off by UN and Russian military, supply chains are cut, communication with operational command is lost, and in these conditions everyone has to make his own choices of what to do and how to get out of the chaos-ridden metropolis.

  1. Can someone please help me. I have a high end computer, and when i enter a game in tarkov i get between 120-150 fps. But after a couple of minutes in game i drop down to 50-70, it feels like 20-30, totally unplayable. Please help me figure this out, i really want to play this game but it's literally unplayable like this :S

  2. I followed this guide and now I get screen tearing while playing 🙁 No idea what caused it…guess I have to slowly change things back and see if it fixes

Edit: Holy fuck I'm an idiot. My 144hz monitor reverted back to 60hz when I fresh installed windows 10 and the increase in fps this provided finally made me realize something was wrong…god damn I've been playing 60hz this whole wipe.

  4. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but I personally found that tarkov wasnt utilizing my 3070 effectively. Typically, it would start the game out at 80-90% usage and drop to 20-50% by mid game. Turning supersampling to 2x will fix the usage and it performs very smooth for me. Temps dont go above 75 c as well.

  5. Best graphics settings… meanwhile uses a 3090 LOL. i have a 3080 ti, but this shit just made me laugh. Not going to cater to a lot of people when your experience is way above what the average tarkov player would be using. Not me of course, but others.

  6. FYI there was a reddit post where OP discovered "Only Use Physical Cores" will only function correctly if its unticked > Save > Re-tick > Save. Easily confirmed using Task Manager
