Who Dey!
I think Mike Hilton deserves a raise this season. Just like 2 million dollars as a thank you for always playing pretty
Much, I think he has missed a game or 2 in 3 years but for always being available
Always being very much above average and just as a thank you. If I’m Mike Brown I make that happen
Sadly coaches only have the month of June. Please don’t take that away from them.
Jake haven’t you learned by now that the NFL doesn’t give a dam about science and they aren’t concerned with players health. They are concerned with making money. As much money as possible. The whole concussion we care bit is so they won’t have e to spend more MONEY on hurt players. They could not
Care less about these guys if it interferes with profits. I know that’s an awfully cynical view but it is correct in my opinion.
The NFL playes association is a joke too. Why is it they are always coming up with things players hate and the NFL
loves?? Hmm interesting 🤔
I think Drew Sample is going to have a fair amount of catches this year too. I know most fans don’t like him much I don’t know why. He is a top 10 blocker at the TE position every year. He can handle volume in his second year In 2020 he had 40 catches after Uzomah went down. He is big at 6’5’’ 255 and about average speed for a TE of his size he ran 4.71. The exact same time that Michael Mayer the TE 1 from last year ran. And believe it or not Drew Sample has a Relative Athletic Score or RAS of 8.99. He has a Good explosion grade, a Good size grade, a Good agility grade, a Good speed grade, scored 90th percentile in the bench press and he has 33.375 inch arms. Yes I would have taken him in round 3 but no guarantee some
Other team doesn’t look at all that information and take
Him lasted in round 2.
I think Jordan Battle is a better safety than Vonn Bell. Bell is only back this year because we got him at league minimum because of his circumstances. Bell is good no doubt and will help
With communication in the secondary but all things being equal Battle is a Pro Bowl level Strong Safety. He made the All Rookie team last year. Bates did to his rookie year and then 2 years after made an All Pro team. I think Battle is even better than Bates BUT they play different positions and do different things. Battle can plate FS or SS equally well. That’s why I thought they would put him at FS and Dax at SS. Dax does better playing closer
To the LOS.
Dax is an ELITE nickel CB. I could have told the Bengals that before they drafted him. To get a guy who is elite at a certain position then draft him and play him at some other position is bad coaching. It is. The Bengals
Need to cut or waive Jalen Davis and get him back on the practice squad and Dax will be Hiltons backup
This year and take the starting role next year. But yea Dax could play outside CB. He played FS last year pretty well in my opinion. The problem last year wasn’t Dax or his performance it was all the youth we had in the secondary. On Mike Hilton was truly experienced back there last year. So it was the totality of all
The youth. Dax had 110 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 12 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions last
Year. That’s good for a rookie FS who had never played FS. That is good for a rookie FS who played FS in college. This numbers best Bates rookie numbers in some catagories. And Dax played every snap last year. Never came off the field. If he was such a fuckin disaster as some view it why did the coaches let him play literally ever snap every down?
DJ Turner and CTB are a couple of dogs!! 🐕. They are going to be great starting CBs. Turner was arguably the best man to man pure CB in his draft class. CTB is fearless and would square up an offensive tackle if necessary. CTB is a ball hawk too. 4 ints last year and he didn’t play every game. He should lay off those big hits most of the time because we want him for an entire year and playoff run. They were both pick number 60 which I think is cool. DJ Turner has the speed and recovery speed to keep up with literally everyone he is on the field with. He is faster than Tyrek Hill is. Yes he is. Look at their testing numbers side by side. Tyrek Hill is not and never was the fastest guy in the NFL.
Rapien and Co need to do a self analysis and really discuss how wrong they were encouraging Jesse Bates to go and how wrong they were hyping up Nick Scott and how little accountability they held the coaching staff to regarding the versatility of dax hill. We need to start holding these guys accountable for their rose colored glasses and Mike Brown shilling
It’s a big year for a lot of guys. You mentioned Trent Brown it’s a contract year for him. Its also a contract year for Mike Gieseki, Tee Higgins, Ted Karras, Joseph Ossai, Cam Sample, Akeem Davis Gaither who i absolutely love and am glad them kept him. I think ADG could be a starting LB for pretty much any team. So big years for those guys but also Chase Brown and Myles Murphy it’s a big year looking for that 2nd year jump. And Cordell Volson it’s a big year. Will be continue that steady improvement we have seen from year 1 to year 2? I think we will. I think he is going to grade out at around 65 or 66 this year. Remember rookie year at the end his grade was 53.1 and at the end of year 2 it was 58.9 so a nice little jump but to be a long term starter he needs to be 65 or higher. If both of the guards on your team are 68’s then that is just fine. That is average.
It’s also a contract year for Trenton Irwin and big years for Iosivas and Charlie Jones. And Evan McPherson it’s a contract year. I would go ahead and lock McPherson up with a 4 year deal and give Cal Adomitis a 2 year deal. He has been flawless since he got here. Mcphersons price is only going to go up. The kid is a great kicker and if he is an All
Pro or Pro Bowl kicker next year they are going to have to pay him more than they could get him for right now. I would offer him a 4 year 28 million dollar deal right now. That 7 a year. So from 6-7 mil a year and 4 years. I think that’s pretty fair. I haven’t looked into kickers pay maybe someone else had. Is 4 years 24-28 million a good deal? Fair to player and good for team?
I must be getting really old and feable, you guys look ,even Buff!!!😮
Skyline Chilli pizza!? Anyone know what place does that I want to check it out next time I visit.
The amount of depth in the secondary is a good problem to have. Jordan Battle needs to start tho and continue to develop. Dude had a 82.5 pff grade as a rookie.
Who deyyy!!!
Jaaaaaahhhmaahhhhh! All love to Hobson.
Top takeaways from OTAs for me: neat. See you in week 1.
Training camp is a grind?? These dudes are pros, I practiced more when I was 13. How Zac does it is absolutely great, and you’d want coaches to listen to players, but allowable practice for a professional sport is laughably short
Any Bengals fan that doesn’t think Vonn Bell will be starting is absolutely wild. Battle and Stone will play a lot, Bell is easily the best safety
Awh a little mandatory work in their life like all of us normal American citizens have to deal with every single day of our lives or at least five days a week it over it they paid millions
I’m only interested in the replacements for our star players tht we lost. What is Zac moss doing
Loving it❤❤❤
How is SC
I want that O line ready to play week 1. Plain and Simple. We can’t have any QB injuries early in the season.
The Bengals are gonna have at minimum, a top 10 defense. We have a very solid Dline with depth, a top 5 LB group with depth and the secondary is unbelievable with Geno Stone, Von Bell, Jordan Battle. Dax Hill, CTB, Mike Hilton and DJ Turner. This is without doubt the best defense weve had in a very long time. Lets Go!!! WHO DEY!!!!
McKinley Jackson looks like a beast! He’s been hitting the weight room hard!
Sorry, it's a big deal that both Tee and Ja'Marr are not at OTAs. Not one but both are absent. Haven't we been here two years ago? After all, we are now talking about two important players who comprise the major part of the offense. You didn't have to be Einstein to see this situation coming. Overtime, the ol'e time tactics of negotiating with players is apparently not working for the Bengals and will eventually affect the team.
so what day hill a 1st rounder going into his 3rd year n probably won't start that's a bust pick
Is this bum Joe gonna stay on his feet this season
