I love Peng Xiaoran and will watch the drama to support her. I can’t wait to watch her and Ryan Ding’s new drama. Hopefully that will be much better since the male lead is close to her age. It doesn’t matter if he’s a bit older or older and very handsome like a glass of fine wine. I can’t see any chemistry between her and the current lead in this drama.
No surprise you don't like this drama. I for one am enjoying the storyline and surprising chemistry between the leads.

Feng Shao Feng seems to has lost not just his youth but also his spirit. Yeah I think he should just move away from these 'idol' dramas and focus on roles or drama more suitable for his age. It's not wrong to age, embrace it gracefully! And he lost that spirit in his eyes too. I have seen some others around his age or older recently who are still rocking it and kicking ass in costume dramas and have eyes that speak but they are in other serious genres.

I knew I didn't like the trailer for a reason. Binned! Also, I can't see the emperor as anyone else but the main character in Story of Minglan. Maybe it's another money laundering project? 🤣
Because "Goodbye my princess " set as a high standard for both actors, it's difficult to surpass them. So the wise choice is not to pick that kind of same exact role again. They are excellent actors, i hope they can take other characters as well. I see Cheng Xingxu take different genres and still doing pretty well.
You are right. 東宮was a success. Ping Xiaoran’s last two dramas weren’t so.
And 馮紹峰 is gross uncle, his first appearance with that mop of long hair on her back on horse is enough to 棄劇 at that exact moment. Cdrama land is way too much modern make up in period drama with ginger red or orange hair and kissing scenes 😢😅😮.

I couldn't even finish the first episode it was so bad. I watch these dramas mostly for the pretty guys and to learn Mandarin. US TV is dumbing down the population so I really don't need me c-dramas to do the same.
PXR playing the same type of role opposite a bloated Feng Shao Feng. He should have played the bad uncle in the drama. It is like how Kevin Cheng was a huge miscast as the young ML in Hua Xu Yin. It just didn't work
Honestly, from what I’ve seen of “Goodbye My Princess”, I was not a fan of it and I felt like it was just pretty faced actors. The rant you gave is definitely agreed by me!

There's no storyline, there's no tempo. They juz doing whatever they want and not interesting at all. I watched it because of PXR but I can't take it anymore and give up.
