Based on the famous Pixar movie, Toy Story 2 puts an interesting spin on the 3D platformer genre on the N64.

  1. Alleys and Gulleys is definitely the most annoying level. My brother and I would call it Vanessas and Shainas, after our two least favorite characters in a show we watched back then.

  2. i swear i was the worst when it came to taking care of the play station discs. i treated them like i did my cartridges. but this game got the special treatment, always made sure to put this one back.

  3. The cartridge memory was so low, bit count didn't matter. Sure you have 64 bits to work with 1kb textures that might as well be a stretched 1×1 image, this is why the PS version is superior, IMO.

  4. The apartment arrival confusion is due to the poor translation of the movie scenes to the game, there's an impostor Buzz who follows along with the gang that the game failed to clarify, that the PS release had a full cutscene of the reveal.

  5. After you inflate the duck, you’re supposed to stomp on it a couple of times to make it go underwater, and when it shoots back up above the water, you double jump and grab the token.

Like you said, the physics in this game are weirdly good.

  6. I played the PS1 version and it sucks seeing the game with text instead of movie cutscenes.

I think you only unlocked a picture because of the N64 version not having movie cutscenes.
