Beating EVERY N64 Game – Excitebike 64 (110/394)

Excitebike was one of the more popular games on the NES. It’s no wonder Nintendo wanted to do more with the series, and the N64 was a great platform to try to show off how it could work in 3D. Does Excitebike 64 hold up though?

  1. Those tracks on the Platinum cup look real cool. I never actually unlocked them as a kid.

I always played Sarah Hills, and the announcer excitedly exclaiming that she 'wiped out' or 'ate dirt' are forever scarred on my psyche.

  2. Everything he complains about in the beginning makes it sound amazing to me. I grew up with nes and it sounds like they made the game exactly the same just updated to today's standards. Play the original it's great and to make your own levels. Probably the first game to let you do that.

  3. I’ve been so hyped for this playthrough. I spent many long nights packin dips and twistin grips in excitebike 64 when it came out. I’m 30 now and I swear to god the announcer yelling “Tricky Ricky Stern!!!” Still randomly pops in my head a couple times a year.

  4. Hey, THIS IS HOW TAKEDOWNS WORK: if your rear tyre touches someone else's front tyre you take them down; if their rear tyre touches your front tyre you get taken down.

  5. Distance also had a soccer mode, and it was pretty fun. They removed it when it became clear that Rocket League had conquered that genre mashup.

  6. Yo Thabeast721 when I was a kid I was one of the best players in the world at the game Pokemon Puzzle League.
I was invited onto a Canadian T.V. show in Toronto in the late 90s.
I can't wait to see you try and beat that game.
I was able to consistently do combos up to I believe it was 16 or 17 then the game just shows you a question mark(s).
When I would compete or even face the final bot the system would lag even with the expansion ram.
One time while facing Mewtwo I crashed the game.
After Hard mode you enter a code to unlock very hard and super hard.
You must beat Gary to get to Mewtwo but if you lose vs Mewtwo you'll have to face Gary once more.
Edit: Also the puzzles in that game they give you to solve at the academy get very difficult.

  7. MAN I remember the Nintendo Power issue with this cover feature got me so hyped. Loved it as a rental – as a racing game fan, the N64 was fantastic

  8. 6:50 Destruction Derby 64 has like, the same announcer. I remember nearing the end of SAT tests and counting down questions in my head…”that’s another one down, FIVE TO GO!!!”
