I actually did use the Dismounter for a bit on my first run before getting the Knight's Greatsword from a Godrick soldier at some point. It's decent for early game, but Bloodhound's Fang exists, so it has no purpose in most runs.
Just fyi, the bandit class starts with the highest arcane stat, making it good for a bleed build
