The beacon list functionality allows you to identify and monitor Bluetooth beacons (Bluetooth radio transmitters), that surround the tracking device. The device scans beacons for a specific interval duration and acknowledges only those, that are entered into the beacon list.

Once the tracking device is powered on and the GNSS fix is acquired, it starts monitoring the surrounding beacons, that are valid (pass the filters of configured profiles and minimum RSSI). When the speed exceeds the TID min. speed value, the tracking device records the ID of valid beacon with the highest RSSI value into the Wireless trailer ID IO parameter. This ID will remain in the IO parameter, regardless of the tracking device speed, unless:
• No more advertisement packets are received from the beacon for duration of Expiration time.
• Another valid beacon with higher RSSI value appears and the speed is higher than TID min. speed.

The ELA BLUE PUCK ID tag is used for identification of various equipment where dust-tight, water-proof, or wireless long-range solutions are required. This identifier sends the data to a tracking device via Bluetooth.
