Battling Moreton Bay Monsters

Another great weather day saw me head out in to Moreton Bay to try and tick a few species off.I had some good success and spectacular losses!
I ticked a couple off early, then searched for a seasonal favourite that has need shown up as of yet before doing battle with some regulars and a monster out of the blue!

  1. Another great vid. I'm liking the way you've introduced the early morning 'b roll' footage of arriving at the ramp etc. I live in NZ and having done a few trips to visit SE QLD it's enjoyable to see some of the surroundings – rather than just on the water, which in some cases could be anywhere. I also know from those holidays that sunrise in QLD is ridiculously early in summer, but it still always amazes me how much fishing you get done, then say "it's nearly 8.30 now, I might head home"!!
Quick question – when you're on spot lock and there's decent current, do you cast 'up current' and basically swing the softbait 'downstream' until it gets out too much line angle? Or are you casting 90 degrees and winding back across the current?
