  1. Thanks for the Shout out. That series of cinematics is actually the tutorial. You learn all the various ways to play the game. 1 of the things you can do which you can't in a lot of similar games is board ships and ram them. Ramming is actually, ironically, a brilliant strategy against certain enemies, whilst launching fighters and boarding helps cripple a ship's ability to fight back.

  2. The Fall of Cadia is a significant lore event which is why the galaxy is sundered in two if you look at current/modern maps of the Warhammer 40k galaxy. Thanks for reacting Trey, it's a joy to watch as well as see you grow as a content creator!

  3. Hey Trey, while I haven't been around your channel long and for more than 40k (at least as of right now), what I can say is I just found you randomly from my recommended videos and it sounded fun to watch someone new react to 40k, the thing that made me stick around to watch each new 40k vids is that, unlike 99% of the other ones i've seen, you make it feel a whole lot more like we are just watching the videos together, chilling on a couch and cracking jokes.
You bring in that energy of being relatable and just enjoying the content with your audience, watching what you enjoy and trying new things.

Keep it up will still follow you around!

PS: Templin Institute black templar would make a great shorter reaction to give context around who they were in hellsreach 🙂

  5. So the imperium or imperial navy uses warships not to dissimilar to that of 18th style of warfare
The main armaments on imperial warships are
Macro cannons which fires a projectile the size of a school bus to an actual building, these can range from the standard high explosive rounds to armor penetration to even plasma based, macro cannons can be spinal to side mounted, the other option for main weapons are things called lances which to sun things up is a scaled up lasgun, where it fires a highly concentrated plasma beam at a target at ludicrous speeds and ranges, however they lack any real damage, but are highly effective against ships shields, where the sheer amount of pure energy can either overload a ships shields or simply overwhelm the shields and hit the target, which would result in massive thermal damage as well as any armor in the general area would turn to slag. If not then a highly skilled gunner can hit something as small as a corvet and could easily cut the ship in half.

    As for other weapons
The infamous nova cannon, fires a high density projectile at the spread of light, and for reference, look up the holdo maneuver from Star Wars the last Jedi and you get the idea, where a round the size of a car but with the mass and density of say a super carrier, being fired at the speed of light.
And the more common and most ubiquitous torpedos which are the size of skyscrapers and lots of explosives.

As for the main design of imperial class warships, they are built and designed to be entirely modular, favoring adaptability and versatility over the more powerful and more effective patterns of warships used during the crusade and heresy, which the forces of chaos tends to make the most use out of, being that they have more powerful reactors, shields as well as much more efficient and more powerful lance weapons and plasma macro cannons to boot, they are far superior to the more modern imperial warships, however again the imperium favors flexibility and adaptability where if you needed say a carrier then rip out the torpedos, replace them with extra sensors and sensory equipment, rip out the rear mid section and replace it with several massive hangers, and depending on the fleet you could even remove the mid front section where the main weapons would be and replace them with even more hangers, if you want a brawler then replace the hangars with several macro cannons which in turn would help reduce power consumption allowing the ship to have more powerful shields, if you want a all rounder then the Oberon class is a popular choice since they have both lance and macro cannons s making them highly effective at any range.

As for shield the imperium makes use of what is known as void shields which are energy dimensional field projectors which creates a rubber band around the ship where,if anything were to hit said void shields, the object and energy would be spread and displaced all across the shields as the energy and object would be sent directly to the warp, another thing about void shields is that they come up in banks where you can have one void shield generator or perhaps you can have two or even three and so what you can do with void shields is layer them so you could have one massive indestructible barrier which could stop anything, or have the shields layered so you could have alternating shields where if or when so rather that relying on the one shield being super powerful, but if that fails then it’s Gone, be layering them so when the first layer gets destroyed the second layer becomes the new shield however the previous shield is slowly recs

  6. Hey Trey! With Halloween right around the corner, I’ve been looking for someone to react to Haemonculus Covens of the Dark Eldar by Baldemort. It’s an hour long video, but the story told at the beginning is so damn chilling and horrifying. Like, if you like Hellraiser, you’ll love this video. If I can just get someone to react to that story at the beginning, I’ll be happy!

  7. What's up my dude! The channel is going good man! It's not about the thing itself but the small triumphs and challenges that come along the way. The channel brings them for you and milestones will feel real good. I highly agree with what you said about people at your coaches funeral. I've been thinking about that a lot too honestly.

  8. And thank you for the kind words Trey! I'm newly inducted into the 40k hobby as well and I'm just trying to recommend it to as many people as possible. With Star wars face planting for like 10 years straight we haven't had a deep Sci fi universe get popular, that appealed to adults in a long time. At least not another space epic let alone a Sci fi franchise. I feel 40k scratches that itch for more complex, multifaceted and long-form stories. 40k feels like a Grim Dark scifi universe at a Tolkien level of scale and depth.

Also what other models are you interested in? I'd love to show you guys the new Imperial Guard updates, maybe even the new Demon Angron which I think you will really get a kick out of.
